MR. WILLIAM C. “BILL” WORSHAM, age 76, off Greenhill Memorial Garden Road, Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at his residence following an extended illness.  Mr. Worsham was born in Trion, Georgia on April 16, 1940, a son of the late William Edward and Grace Pauline Gilley Worsham.  He was a Veteran of the U. S. Air Force, attended the Pennville Church of Christ, and was retired computer operator and security from Mount Vernon Mills.  Mr. Worsham was preceded in death by a sister, the late Sandra Worsham.

Surviving are His wife, Kay Worsham; daughter and spouse, Laura & Derkise Graham; son and spouse, Jeremy & Brenda Worsham; grandchildren, Jay Williams, Wendy Worsham, Jud Williams, and Kylin Graham.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 19th, at 10:30 A.M. from Graveside in Greenhills Memory Garden with Minister Robby Eversole officiating.  Active Pallbearers Benny Sprayberry, Erick Housch, Ben Housch, David Parker, Derek Parker, and Charles Cooper.  The Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Charles Edward “Dink” Willingham, age 75 of the Mountain View Community, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Willingham was born in Trion, Georgia, on November 28, 1941, son of the late Charles Austin “Blue” Willingham and Marvine Carr Willingham.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving at the beginning of the Viet Nam War.  Mr. Willingham was a life-long Georgia Tech Fan, an Avid Atlanta Falcons fan, and loved to fish.  He was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church and was retired from the Packing Department of Mt. Vernon Mills. Mr. Willingham was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary Evelyn Elrod Willingham on December 7, 2010; and a brother, Billy Carlton “Bubba” Willingham.

Mr. Willingham is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Regina Willingham, Sandy and Andrea Willingham, and Ryan and Abby Willingham; sisters, Lydia Carolyn Willingham Hunter and Lydia Marvine Willingham Robertson; 9 grandchildren, Richard Barrett, Kalen Willingham, Jordan Willingham, Alli Manor, Max Manor, Lilli Manor, Kristian Willingham, Jarod Willingham, and Hagen Willingham; 4 great grandchildren, Haley Barrett, Paige Barrett, Creed Willingham, and Colston Manor; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Willingham will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Norton and Rev. Rickey Biddle officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and should meet at the Coffman Funeral Home Thursday afternoon by 12:30 P.M.:  Billy Willingham, Willie Johnson, Jr., Larry Wilson, Jamey Simmons, Michael Tinney and Tracy Trammell.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Wilbanks, Cecil and Polly Parris, Billy and Lisa Stewart, James Matheney, Packing Department of Mt. Vernon Mills and all of his Charlie Company Army Buddies.

Mr. Willingham will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. At other hours, they may be contacted at the residence of his son, Steve Willingham on Halls Valley Drive.

Mrs. Mary Will Waits Clayton, age 90, of Summerville, GA, died Sunday, January 15, 2017, at the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Clayton was born July 28, 1926, in Roanoke, AL, daughter of the late Milton and Mary Etta Henson Hammond. She was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Sylvester Pinion; second husband, Rev. Tommy Waits; third husband, Rev. Charles Clayton; brothers, Marchmon Hammond, David Hammond, Grover Hammond, Edward Hammond, Elijah Hammond, Murl Hammond, and George Hammond; sisters, Katie Pike, Vesta Pike, Lottie Richardson, Gladys Mozzella, and Clois Hicks.

Mrs. Clayton is survived by her son, Michael Pinion; brother, Earl Hammond; and sisters, Lois Anderson and Hazel Garrett. Funeral services for Mrs. Clayton will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 18, 2017, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andy Hutchins officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tony Dowdy, Carl Anderson, William Browning, Raymond Duke, Otis Grogan, and Earl Hammond. Mrs. Clayton will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday.

MISS LOUISE ANNETTE NEWMAN, age 94, of Summerville, Georgia died Saturday, January 14, 2017 Riverwood Remembrance Village.  Miss Newman was born in Sevierville, Tennessee on March 13, 1922, a daughter of the late James Harrison Newman and Nora Ridley Newman.  She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Rome, Georgia, and was an employee of Batty State Hospital for 33 years.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Newman and four sisters Ethel Lois Black, Bess Kirk, Roby Mosley, and Gladys Smithson.

        She is survived by a host of Nieces, Nephews, Great, Great Great, and Great Great Great Nieces and Nephews.

        Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 17th, at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, with Pastor Jack Karch officiating, interment in Greenhills Memory Garden.  Visitation will be Tuesday from noon until the hour of service at the Funereal Home.

MRS. SALLY W. YORK, of Trion, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017, in the local nursing home.  A native of Murray County, Georgia, She was born to the late Robert and Lula Maude Greene West, on June 11, 1920.  Mrs. York was a member of the Nazarene Church and retired from Health Care.  She was preceded in death by her husband the late Walter Davis York, son, the late Walter Charles York, grandson the late Michael (Mikey) Lamar Greg White, granddaughter the late Amy Louise Langston, and son-in-law the late Larry Langston.

Surviving are daughter, Margaret Langston of Trion; sons, Larry York of Chatsworth, Don York of Ft. Worth, TX.; sister, Leaty Patterson; brother, Bill West; 15  Grandchildren, several Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 15th, at 4:30 P.M. from Graveside in West Hill Cemetery, Mickie Bradley conducting.  Active Pallbearers Steve White, J. R. MR. NORMAN E. BRYANT, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017, in a Rome hospital.  He was born in Lyerly, Georgia, on October 24, 1933, a Son of the late Alfred Monroe and Marian Elizabeth Gardner Bryant.  Mr. Bryant was the owner-operator of Bryant and Sons Lumber Company and member of the South Summerville Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by three Sisters and six Brothers.

Surviving are his wife, Calla Mae Bryant; sons and spouses, Dennis and Lisa Bryant, Anthony and Cindy Bryant, and Alan and Lynn Bryant; grandchildren, Stephanie Herring, Landon (Holly) Bryant, Virginia Bryant, Alex Bryant, Hunter Bryant, Hensley Bryant, Calen (Clancey) Cooper; great grandchildren, Ava Herring, Brody Bryant, Branson Bryant; several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 15th, at 3:00 P.M. from the South Summerville Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Bryant, Rev. Doyle Waters, and Rev. Gene Greer officiating, interment in Greenhills Memory Gardens.   Active Pallbearers Landon Bryant, Calen Cooper, Alex Bryant, O. W.
