Mrs. Doris Jean Lowry Henderson, age 89, of Trion, GA, died Friday, January 8, 2016, at her residence.

Mrs. Henderson was born September 4, 1926, in Lyerly, GA, daughter of the late William Russell and Myrtis Josie Adams Lowry.  She was a member of the Trion First Baptist Church.  She was currently a homemaker, and previously, was a glove mill girl, working at the Trion Glove Mill, Best Manufacturing, and the Lyerly Glove Mill.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Floyd Lowry and Herman Lowry; sisters, Lillie Mae "Jackie" Lowry Mills, Mary Jo Lowry Treadaway, and Betty Ann Lowry Tucker; a granddaughter, Marcy Ann Henderson; grandsons, Clinton Lee Henderson and Scott Alan Henderson.

Mrs. Henderson is survived by her husband, William Eugene Henderson; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Larry and Joyce Henderson, William Lee and Linda Henderson; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Jean and Waymond "Babe" Tudor, Karen Diane and Jack Sparks; a sister, Nancy Carol Lowry; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; special caregivers, Cassie Fulmer, Cheyenne Hardin, and Connie Gordon.

Funeral services for Mrs. Henderson will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 12, 2016, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Floyd Roebuck and Rev. Casey Bramlett officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Tony Patterson, Ronnie Patterson, Steve Lowry, Harold Tucker, Rusty Tucker, and Edward Tudor.  Honorary pallbearers will be The Lydia Class from Trion First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Henderson will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday, January 11, 2016.

Mrs. Lois Rebecca Edwards, age 76, of Trion, GA, died Friday, January 8, 2016, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Edwards was born February 7, 1939, in LaFayette, GA, daughter of the late Rubin and Rebecca Witt Sosebee.  She was a member of the Dry Valley Baptist Church and was a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Teresa Mitchell and Debbie Alexander; brothers, Carl Sosebee, Lonnie Sosebee, and Alfred Sosebee; sisters, Ann Williams, Fannie Brown, Mary Ruth Harris, Nell Durham, and Ruby Black; and grandsons, Brad Martin and Braden Martin.

Mrs. Edwards is survived by her husband, Charles Edwards; son, Ray Mitchell; daughters, Becky Martin, Mary Ann White; brother, Ross "Bill" Sosebee; sisters, Margaret Westbrook, Betty Wilson; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edwards will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 11, 2016, from the Dry Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Denny Smith, Rev. Jimmy Weaver, and Rev. Steve Skates officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Doug Alexander, Brannon Martin, Charles Hubbard, Jon Mitchell, Billy Broome, and Doyle King.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies Grace Sunday School Class of Dry Valley Baptist Church and the Staff of Amedisys Home Health Care.

Mrs. Edwards will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, January 10, 2016.  She will also be in state at Dry Valley Baptist Church from 10:30 A.M. until the hour of service on Monday.

MR. RAYMOND L. GILREATH, age 78, of Gore Community, Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2015,  evening at his residence.  A Chattooga County native, He was a son of the late Oscar Gilreath and Edna Cagle Jones.  Mr. Gilreath was a truck driver for Mohawk, Ind. and a Veteran of the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by grandchildren Wyatt Gilreath and Wilder Gilreath.

MRS. JOAN ERIN COOK, age 60, of Teloga Community, Summerville, Georgia passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 3, 2016.  A native of Tuscon, Arizona, She was born to the late Walter Haskell and Evelyn Rankin Haskell, who survives.  She, along with her late husband, enjoyed caring for and raising a variety of animals.  Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, the late Wayne Cook on August 29, 2004.

MRS. JOY HENDERSON, age 83, of Campbell Crescent Circle, Summerville, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016, in a Rome hospital.  Born in Fort Payne, Alabama on March 5, 1932, she was a daughter of the late C. Edward and Alline Maynard Holbrook.  Mrs. Henderson was a member of South Summerville Baptist Church and together with her husband owned and operated Eagle Mfg. and Cambridge House Furniture.

Surviving are her husband, Billy Henderson; daughter, Bonita Graham of Cleveland, TN., and granddaughter, Lauren Ashley Leming.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 5th, at 4:00 P.M. from Greenhills Memory Garden, with Pastor Stanley Smith officiating.
