Mr. James Randall (Randy) Williams, age 57, of Trion, GA, passed away Sunday September 6, 2015 at his residence.  Mr. Williams was born July 26, 1958, in Trion, GA, the son of Gordon Francis and Margaret Ann Lemmings Williams.  He was employed with Shaw Ind. and a member of the Summerville Pentecostal  Worship Center.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda  Gill Williams, children, Maranda Williams, Dana Lindsey, Carrie Lively, brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry & Paula Williams, David & Nancy Williams, 6 grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday Sept 9, 2015 from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Woods and Rev. Andy Hutchins officiating with interment in the West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers, Eric Williams, Joseph Williams, Russ Williams, Casey Howard, Jesse Gill, Adam Gill, Brad Stephens.  Honorary pallbearers, Heyman Hospice, Nieces and Nephews, PM employee’s of Shaw.

MRS. BETTY MCCOLLUM HOWARD, age 87, of Thomas Road, Trion, Georgia passed away Friday, September 4, 2015.  Native to Chattooga County, She was a daughter of the late Cleve and Lena Norton McCollum, on May 27, 1928.  She was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church, retired from the Montgomery Knitting Mill and Mohawk creeling department.  Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her husband, the late Horace E. Howard, and a son, the late Dennis S. Howard.

Surviving are children, Diane & Riley Flowers of Macon, Donna & Howard Slayton of Trion, and David & Kathy Howard of LaFayette; 10 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 7th, at 11:00 A.M. from the Ridgeway Baptist Church with Rev. MR. MELVIN M. BURKE, age 81, of Mitchell Circle, Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday, September 4, 2015, at his residence.  A native of Trion, Georgia He was born to the late Fred S. and Evie Irene Jones Burke on April 16, 1934.  Mr. Burke was a member and Deacon of Harrell Street Church of God and a retired owner/operator Truck driver.  He was preceded in death by a son the late Rex Burke; sisters, Shelby Gentry, Phyllis Lambert; brothers, John L. Burke, Marvin Burke.

        Surviving are wife, Ester Ruth Burke; daughters, Marshell Roberts, Orlando Millican, Phyllis Bell, Tina Treadaway, Kimberly Nichols; sons, Frederick Burke and Eddie Burke; sister, Mary Morris; brothers George Burke and Ed Burke; 23 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

        Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 6th, at 2:00 P.M. from the Harrell Street Church of God with Pastor Kenny Payne and Rev. Rockland Hughes officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Grandsons.  The Family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Parker Blake Joseph, age 12 weeks, of Gaylesville, AL, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015, at Children's of Alabama in Birmingham. 

He was born June 10, 2015, in Fort Payne, AL, son of Clay Michael Joseph and Cortney LeAnne Parris Joseph.  He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Bobby Joseph and Maxine Stewart. 

Parker is survived by his parents, Clay and Cortney Joseph; his sister, Aubree Colbert; grandparents, Bobbie and Travis Mackey, Clay and Stephanie Joseph; great-grandparents, Jeannie and Joe Winters, Evie and Donnie Mackey, and Frank and Leona Sawicki, Sara Joseph; aunt, Ashley Parris; uncles, Austin Parris, Darrell Albritton. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Sunday, September 6, 2015,       from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Glenn Stansell officiating.  Interment will follow in the Weiss Lake Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Damon Bishop, Kevin Wills, and Travis Stancil.

Ms. Sandra Bernice Mosteller- age 55, of Summerville, GA passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Willie Mae Mosteller; brother, Bernard Mosteller.

Survivors are her sister, Glenice (James) Thurman of Rome, GA; brother, Daniel Mosteller of Summerville, GA and Samuel (Kim) Mosteller of Lithonia, GA.  Aunts, Mattie E Terry (Perry) Dent, Sr. of Columbus, GA, Bernice Terry of Union City, GA, and Ivera Terry Powell; uncles Jimmy L. Mr. Charles McDaniel Edwards, age 90, of Rome, GA, died Monday, August 31, 2015, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.  

Mr. Edwards was born August 13, 1925, in Summerville, GA, son of the late John Dewey and Ethel Wofford Edwards.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and prior to his retirement, was employed with General Motors. 

Mr. Edwards is survived by his sister-in-laws, Mable Coley, Ralph and Opal Sumner, Elizabeth Wofford; a cousin, Billy Edwards; his friend, Teresa Welch; and his caregivers, Inez Rowland, Beverly Sharp, Barbara Sharp, Mary Phillips, and Roberta Ibbetson. 

Funeral services for Mr. Edwards will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 2, 2015, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Martha Lamp officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

MRS. NELLIE B. DAVENPORT, age 89, of Yarbrough Road, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015, at her residence.  A native Chattooga Countian, She was born to the late Roy Clinton and Hattie Lemuel Veatch Allmon, on July 6, 1926.  Mrs. Davenport was retired from the sewing department of the former Best Mfg. Company of Menlo, Georgia and a member of Chelsea Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Garner Earl Davenport; sisters, Sarah Evans, Margaret Knight, Zenter McHaffey, and Fannie Mae Hunter; brothers Rube Allmon, Cecil Allmon and Deforest Allmon.

Surviving are two daughters & spouses, Jeanette and Bill Shelby and Shirley and Albert Smith, Jr.; son & spouse, Benny and Karen Davenport; seven Grandchildren, twelve Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

JESSIE COLBERT PENDLAND, age 93, of Thomas Road, Trion, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015, at her residence.  A native of Chattooga County, She was born to the late John Henry and Alloie Jo Robinson Dooley.  Mrs. Pendland attended the Trion Church of God, and was retired from the former Bed & Bath Shop.  She was preceded in death by former husbands, the late J. D. Colbert and the late William (Hank) Pendland; son, the late Jimmy Colbert; sisters, the late Lucille Dixon, Lottie Bishop, and Sybil Mershon; and brothers, the late Ollie Dooley, Wilburn Dooley, and J. H. Dooley.

                Surviving are daughters and spouse, Peggy Colbert Campbell and Paulette Colbert Owens and Melvin Owens; son & spouse, Doug and Carolyn Colbert; daughter-in-law, Janet Colbert; 10 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
