Mr. Jerry Wayne Carmon 59 of Trion passed away Friday in a Rome Hospital, he was born in Trion on November 15th, 1952, He was the son of the late Paul Jay and Alice Naoma Chastain Carmon…Mr. Carmon worked with MIllrites and was preceded in death by a daughter the late Michelle Carmon and brother the late Mike Carmon…Surviving are wife Sue Carmon, Daughter Erin Carmon, Son Jason Carmon, Grandchildren Briana and Jason Carmon, nieces and nephews also survive….Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Earle Rainwater Funeral Home….
Mr. George Orr Crowe, Jr. age 77, of Gaylesville, AL died Friday, May 4, 2012 at Kindred Hospital.
Mr. Crowe was born October 4, 1934 in Cherokee County, AL, the son of the late George Orr Crowe, Sr. and Myrtle McCullough Crowe. He was a self-employed automobile repairman. Other than his parents, Mr. Crowe was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Hall Crowe and a daughter, Tina Marie Gazaway.
Survivors include sons, George Orr Crowe, III and Ralph Hall Crowe; sister, Mary Elizabeth Crowe; brother, William Frank Crowe; 7 Grandchildren; and 4 Great Grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p. m. Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Alpine Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Pledger officiating.
MRS. JOANN BARRY BLALOCK, age 81, of Menlo, Georgia passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in the local nursing home. A native of Chattooga County, Georgia, She was born to the late Jim and Gladys Wilder Barry on April 20, 1931. Mrs. Blalock was preceded in death by her husband the late Roy Martin Blalock. Surviving are daughter-Janet Ennes of Marietta; granddaughter-Merideth Zobel of Roswell; sisters-Joyce Workman of Dacula, Mary LeLaigle of Marietta, and Nina Evett of Menlo; several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 4th, at 11:00 A.M. from Graveside in Alpine Cemetery, with Minister Tom Mahan and Bob Miller officiating. Mrs. Theresa Diane Lee, age 54 of Rossville, GA passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Lee was born November 10, 1957 in Summerville, GA. She was employed with Harbin Clinic and was a member of the Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church in Silver Creek, GA.
Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her father and mother, Elmer Mitchell and Lorena Searles Crouch; and a brother, David Smithson.
Mrs. Lee is survived by husband, Bradley Lee of Rossville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Jessie Lee of Rossville, GA; daughter, Tara Lee of Rossville, GA; granddaughter, Libby Lee of Rossville, GA; grandson, Sawyer Lee of Rossville, GA; brother, Jerry Mitchell of Summerville, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Dr. Talmadge Barnes, Dr. Phillip May officiating and testimony by Josh Lee.
Mrs. Lee will lie-in-state Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

MRS. JEAN L. GUINN, age 80, of Springcreek Road, Trion, Georgia passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012, at her residence. A Trion, Georgia native, Mrs. Guinn was born to the late Katie Baggett on April 30, 1931. She was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church and was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation spinning department. Mrs. Guinn was preceded in death by her daughter, the late Deborah Ann Gill, a grandson, the late Casey Ray Gill, and a brother, the late Jimmy Baggett. Surviving are Her husband, Edward Eugene Guinn; son & daughter-in-law, Danny & Beverly Guinn; grandchildren, Chris & Carolyn Gill, Stacy & Anjy Gill, Brian & Jerrilynn Gill, Jeremy Guinn, Kelia & Jim Purcell, and Danny & Nicole Guinn; eleven Great Grandchildren, two Great Great Grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 1st, from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Norton officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Thelma Lucindia Dover, age 83, of Trion, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at her residence.
Mrs. Dover was born in Walker County, Georgia on March 11, 1929, daughter of the late Luther Albert Smith and Annie Mae Brown Smith. She was a member of the Welcome Hill Baptist Church and prior to retirement, worked as an Inspector with Mt. Vernon Mills. Mrs. Dover was preceded in death by her husband, James Leroy Dover; son, Jimmy Leon Dover; brothers, Albert Andrew Smith and John Franklin Smith; and a sister, Lena Lea.
Mrs. Dover is survived by a son, James Lamar Dover; daughters, Brenda Joyce Dover and Mary Ann Shuler; brother, Joe Smith; sisters, Tina Shaffer, Faye Smith, Mary Wright, Josie Nichols and Imogene Arnold; four grandchildren, James Lamar Dover, Jr., Kristina Elliott, Megan Hurt and Victoria Shuler; 6 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Dover will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. in Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Rickey Studdard officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Smith, Josh Dover, Keith Smith, Ken Scott, Johnny Wright and Kevin Smith.
Mrs. Dover will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
