MS. CYNTHIA RENEE BEARDEN, age 46, of Kirby Hollow Road-Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday (November 30, 2010) afternoon from injuries received in an automobile accident near Summerville earlier Tuesday. She was born on July 18, 1964.

Surviving are daughter-Mae Kayla Bearden; son-Donavaughn Bearden; mother-Patricia E. Kirby all of Summerville; father-Quinton Ash of Dallas, GA.; grandmother-Ruby Kirby of Summerville; sister-Tammy Parker of Summerville; brothers-Tracy Carter and Ray Pettyjohn both of Trion; grandchildren-Gavin Bearden and Alexis Bearden; former husband-Donald Bearden; several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday (December 3rd) at 2 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Waydell Howell and Rev. Gary Howell officiating, interment in Greenhills Memory Garden. Active Pallbearers Tony Bearden, Jim Bearden, Tim McArthur, David Fowler, Shawn McCary, and Phil Langston. Visitation will be Friday  noon to 2 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Panzy Louise Barnett Obit

MRS. PANZY LOUISE BARNETT, age 88, of Greeson Street-Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday (November 29, 2010) in the local nursing home. Born in Fort Payne, Alabama on February 2, 1922; Mrs. Barnett attended the Living Waters Ministry and was preceded in death by her husband the late Lois Barnett and a daughter the late Joyce Ann Johnson.

Surviving are 2 daughters-Jearline Johnson and Christine Hines both of Summerville; sister-Lora Mae Brown of Chattanooga; 2 brothers-Larry White and LeRoy White both of Chattanooga; grandchildren-Linda Gail Shaw and Terry Wayne Crowe of Trion, Steven Lee Crowe of LaFayette, Robert Lee Hines of Trion, and Jimmy Lee Hines of Summerville; several Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday (December 1st) at 4 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Wright and Rev. Junior Evans officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Eddie Shaw, Bradley Clayton, Robert Lee Hines, Jay Ledford, Bit Turner, and Mickey Barnett. The Family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 until 4 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Arnold Teems

Mr. Arnold Teems, 90, of 383 D.C. Brown Road Summerville, GA passed away Friday evening, November 26, 2010 at his residence. He was born March 16, 1920 in Chattooga County, GA. He was the son of the late Fred and Victoria Evans Teems. He was retired from Manis Lumber Yard and was Church of God by faith. He was preceeded in death by his parents, 2 sons: Clifford White and Eddy Arnold Teems; 10 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife Oretha Joyce gunter Teems, Summerville; 2 daughters Lucille Griffin, Byron, GA and Francess Brown, Summerville,GA; 3 sons Raymond, Randall and Herman White all of Ervinville, GA; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and several neices and nephews survive.

Funeral services wil be conducted Monday, November 29, 2010 at 11:00am from the Silver Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Scoggins officiating with interment in Silver Hill Baptist Church cemetary.

Pallbearers are asked to meet at Erwin Petitt Funeral Home at 9:30am Monday and include the following gentlemen: Steve Teems, Ashly Culberson, Greg Brown, Dave Griffin, Raymond and Randall White.

Mr. Teems will lie-in-state at Silver Hill Baptist Church where the family will receive friends on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 10:00am until the funeral hour at 11:00am.

Mrs. Sybil Pauline Williams

Mrs. Sybil Pauline William, age 85, of Myers Avenue-Trion, Georgia passed away Sunday (November 28, 2010) morning in a LaFayette nursing home. A native of Chattooga county, Georgia, she was born to the late Jessie and Hettie Mae Bean Lancaster on November 2, 1925. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Trion First Baptist Church and was a retired Executive Secretary for Riegel Textile Mill with 48 plus years of service. She was preceeded in death by her husband Jack Thomas Williams, son, Greg Williams, sister, Jean Witt, and a brother Willard Lancaster.

Surviving are her sister and spouse Yvonne & Wayne (Deedle) Scott of Chickmauga, brothers and spouses, Allen & Mildred Lancaster of Valdosta and Lee & Kathleen Lancaster of Dalton; sister-in-law Rose Lancaster of Rome, brother-in-law LeRoy Will of Trion, several neices and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 29th, at 1:00pm from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Cordel officiating. Interment in West Hill Cemetary. Active pallbearers will be nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 28th, from 6 until 9pm at the funeral home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Trion First Baptist Church building fund.

Mrs. Virginia Joyce Burke Obit

Mrs. Virginia Joyce Burke, age 73, of Lyerly, GA, passed away Wednesday November 24, 2010, at her residence. Mrs. Burke was born April 1, 1937, in Summerville, GA, the daughter of the late Dave and Annie Tillery Moore. She was retired from Wal-Mart , a member of Harrell Street Church of God, and preceded in death by a Great-grandchild,Brittany Kellar, Sisters, Helen Dooley, Christine Webb, Brothers, James Moore, Johnny Moore, Dave "Shorty" Moore, and Virgil Moore.

Survivors include her husband, Ed M. Burke, sons and daughters-in-law, Terry & Sherry Helton, Trion, GA, Mike Helton & Sasha McGraw, Summerville, GA, Eric Shon Burke, Newnan, GA, Charles Burke, Dalton, GA, daughters and sons-in-law, Donna & David Tyson, Rebecca Dean, Summerville, GA, Mary Ann & Ken Padgett, Lyerly, GA, Margo Burke, Atlanta, GA. sisters, Ann Wilkerson, and Margaret Kensey, Summerville, GA, 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; special Niece Beatrice Pledger and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday November 30, 2010 from Harrell Street Church of God with Rev Denny Smith, Rev. C.D. Long, and Rev. Kenny Payne officiating with interment in the Greenhills Memory Garden. Active pallbearers, Kenny White, Jr, Terry Helton, Jr, John McGraw, Jr, Scott McGraw, Mark McGraw, Adam McGraw. Hoyt William Parker, age 85 of LaFayette, GA passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010in Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.  Mr. Parker was born March 23, 1925 in Walker County, GA.  Mr. Parker was a Baptist Minister for 50 years and was a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church.            Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Grace Parker; father and mother, Logan and Eunice Johnson Parker; sisters and brothers, Lucille Bomar, Roy Johnson Parker, Grace Treadaway, Lillie Mae Houston, Kelly Price, and Logan Parker.            Mr. Parker is survived by his daughter, Freda Cooper Berry of LaFayette, GA; his son and daughter-in-law, Dexter and Judy Parker of Chickamauga, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Luther and Margaret Parker and John Paul and Edith Parker of LaFayette, GA; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildreen; several nieces and nephews.            Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Bro. J. L. John Crane obit

MR. JOHN MARLIN CRANE, age 60, of Gore-Subligna Road-Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday morning in a Rome hospital. A son of the late John Roy and Dorothy Pierce Crane, Mr. Crane a loving husband, father, and was affectionately known as PoP Pa by his grandchildren. He was born in Floyd County on July 30, 1950, a member and Sunday School Teacher of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and was retired from AT&T.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Hawkins Crane; children and spouses- Ben & Anamaria Crane of White, GA., Matt & Christina Crane of Rome, Tasha & Lester Jenkins of Cartersville, and Kaela Hayes of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Grandchildren- John Lucas Crane, Connor Crane, Brady Jenkins & Emery Jenkins.

Funeral services will be Sunday (November 21, 2010) at 2:00 P.M. from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Bryant officiating, interment in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Greg Shaw, Jack Owings, Jeff Owings, Danny Ray Mathis, Robert Mathis, Lee Reed, Ray Davis and Jimmy Barron. Willingham Obit

Miss Betty Louise Willingham, age 62, of Menlo, GA died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at her residence.

Miss Willingham was born February 24, 1948 in Summerville, GA, the daughter of the late Chamie Harry "Dick" Willingham and Mamie Lou Chappalear Willingham. She was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills. She was a member of the Quarter Century Club and Menlo First Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Harry Glenn and Edna Willingham; and a nephew, Terry Glenn Willingham.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Chamie and Lindsey Willingham; grandchildren, Miley Reese Willingham and Ainsley Cavin; nieces, Pam Willingham and Anita Willingham; special friends, Shirley Crain and Annette and Bill Podschelne; and a host of Furry Friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Quinn and Rev. Tommy Pledger officiating. Burial will follow in Ami Cemetery. Judy Elaine Dutton obit

Mrs. Judy Elaine Dutton, age 61, of Menlo, GA died Monday, November 15, 2010 at Floyd Medical Center.

Mrs. Dutton was born November 25, 1948 in Centre, AL, the daughter of the late William Harold Lloyd and Rosa Lloyd Pledger. She was a homemaker. Other than her parents, Mrs. Dutton was preceded in death by a step-father, L. D. Pledger; sister, Nancy Maxine Lloyd; and a grandson, Tristan Blake Gaylor.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Dutton; son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Chris Fulton; daughters and sons-in-law, Kym and Seaborn Treadaway and LaRonda and Robert Gaylor; grandchildren, Austin Fulton, Macy Fulton, Katelyn Treadaway, Chadston Jacome, Kody Jacome, and Doyle Gaylor; great grandchild, Cameron Jacome; sisters, Iva Nell Spears, Barbara Brown, and Joyce Stallings; brother, James Lamar Pledger.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Pledger officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
