Ms. Cecilia Chevremont, age 57 of Blue Ridge, GA, formerly from Summerville, passed away on September 26, 2014 in the Fannin Regional Hospital. Cecilia loved animals. She was born on September 17, 1957 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, but as a young child moved to Summerville where she grew up and attended school.
 
Cecilia was preceded in death by her father, Juan Antonio Chevremont; a brother, Juan Antonio Chevremont II; a sister, Paulette Chevremont; grandparents, Paul B. Weems and Maude Weems of Summerville.
 
Survivors include her mother, Rose W. Chevremont of Chatsworth; a sister, Rosita McCamy of Chatsworth; niece and nephew, Jessica and Sammy Rich of Rome, Patrick and Jada McCamy of Chatsworth; great nieces and nephews, Noel Henry Rich, Samuel Aiden Rich, Riley Powell McCamy, and Sarabeth Rose McCamy; a special family friend, Lester Miranda.
 
A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Cecilia will be held on Tuesday, September 30th, at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Peeples Funeral Home in Chatsworth with Luke Pulliam and Sandra Dalton officiating. Inurnment will be in the Summerville Cemetery.
 
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 30th, from 6:30 until the funeral hour.
 
The family requests that flowers be omitted

MRS. EULA BELLE SCOGGINS, age 70, of Ramey Street-Summerville, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014, evening at her residence. She was born in Calhoun, Georgia on December 27, 1943 to the late Otis Richard and Eula Beatrice Flippo Bennett. Mrs. Scoggins was Baptist by Faith and was preceded in death by siblings, Ruby Louise Bennett, William O. Bennett, Dewey Lee Bennett, Archie B. Bennett, and Grady A. Bennett.

Surviving are Her husband, Donny Scoggins; sons and spouse, Kevin & Darlene Scoggins and Brent Scoggins; sister and spouse, Drucilla & Dewey Ragland; brother and spouse, James Robert (Bob) & Peggy Bennett; grandchildren, Brandi & Terry Eller and Jennifer & Nathan Thompson; great grandchildren, Alex Stewart, Logan Lary, Sara Thompson, and Addie Thompson; care giver, Terri Blair; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 30th, at 11:00 A.M. from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, with Rev. Sandord Deberry and Brother Charles Bishop officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery. Mr. James “Jim” LeRoy Crowe, age 92, of Gaylesville, AL, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014, at his residence.

Mr. Crowe was born November 4, 1921, in Ft. Payne, AL, the son of the late  Rev. Franklin Eaton and Virgie Reece Crowe.  Mr. Crowe was a mechanic, farmer, and a member of the New Hope Independent Church. Jamestown, AL, and  was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Pauline Dempsey Crowe, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Odell Hammett, grandchildren, Dale (Vicki) Hammett, Jeff Hammett, Cindy (Billy Don) DeBerry, great-grandchildren, Meagan RuBright, Josh Hammett, Jon Hammett, Katlin Lindsey, Sidney Hammett, Lauren Hammett, Trey DeBerry, Emily DeBerry, great-great-grandchildren, Ivy RuBright, Eva Cannon, Easton Johnson, and sister-in-law, Jeneal Wilson.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Tuesday, September 30, 2014, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Hammett officiating with interment in the Alpine Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Ralph Sentell, Donald Sentell, Richard Sentell, and Marty Crowe.

Mr. Crowe will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday, September 29, 2014.  The family requests no food, and in lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Alpine Cemetery Fund.

She was born in Walker County, Georgia on April 25, 1930, to the late William and Winfred Catlett Ellis. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, the late Lorenzo “Pete” Wilson on January 1, 2010, and siblings, Dorothy Brown, Manuel Ellis, Arthur Ellis. and Coy Ellis.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Beverly Wilson; grandchildren, Kim Wilson and Lori Powell; great grandchildren, Kristen Hines and Devan Powell; great great granddaughter, Payton Sizemore; sisters, Linda Mashburn and Gail Davis; several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 29th, at 12:00 noon from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Dempsey, interment in Greenhills Memory Garden. Mrs. Clark was born April 12, 1953 in Cloudland, GA, the daughter of Alice Holbrook Adkins and the late Joe Adkins,.  She was a homemaker and a member of

Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  Other than her father, she was preceded in death

by her husband, Benjamin (Ben) Clark.

 

Survivors include her son, Corey Clark; mother Alice Holbrook Adkins, brother, Joseph Adkins; and sisters, Mary Rape, Opal Deering, and Sarah Aldridge and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m.  Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Mason

Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rickey Biddle, and Rev. Dunwoody officiating with burial to follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews, Bryan Aldridge, Jason Aldridge, Stacey Aldridge, Luke Rape, Matt Dooley, and Nathan Dooley.

Mr. Henderson was born January 8, 1964, in Lafayette, GA, son of the late Charles Henry Lee Henderson and Nellie Jo Brown Henderson.  He was formerly employed with Bluebird, and was preceded in death by a sister, Michele Ledford.
 
Survivors include his wife Peggy Womack Henderson, children, Timothy Darrin Hughes, Marissa Cailyn Durham, Brittany Michelle Lance, Angel Loxondra Garmley, Charley Rae Henderson Ledbetter, Layla Cathleen Henderson, Heather Annette Chastain, and Barbara Jean Drakely; brothers, John Henderson, Roger Henderson, Allen Fincher, Shawn Ensley, Jacob Henderson, sisters, Karen Woodward, Holly Garbie, Kayla Burch, Alicia Henderson, Faye Henderson, and Henrietta Ensley; 8 grandchildren and 2 on the way.
 
Funeral services for Mr. Henderson will be held at 4:30 P.M. Sunday, September 28, 2014, from the Subligna Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Bishop officiating.  Interment will follow in the Subligna Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Jackson Cornette, Dewayne Ledbetter, Ryan Hill, Skyler Moore, Stacey Womack, and Steven Womack.  Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends.

Mr. Bobby Valentine "Sonny" Ramey age 87 of Lafayette, GA formerly of Trion, GA passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 in the Heritage Healthcare. Mr. Ramey was born July 7, 1927 in Trion, GA.

Mr. Ramey was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Grady Ramey and Mattie Faye Hammond Ramey; brother, Grady Ramey; sister, Kathryn L. Mattis.

Mr. Ramey is survived  by nephews, Roger Ramey and Steve Ramey of Rome, GA; nieces, Juanelle Edwards of Carrollton, GA, Faye Gaylor of Trion, GA, and Joy Williams of Chattanooga, TN; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. John Bartlett of LaFayette, GA.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Minister Hugh Glaze officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens.

Mr. Boyd Barton, age 88, of Summerville, GA, died Thursday, September 25, 2014, at his residence.

 

Mr. Barton was born October 25, 1925, in West Armuchee, GA, son of the late Robert Lee Barton and Viola Rich Barton.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post 129.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rena Lucille McNalley Barton; a step-son, Leroy Reynolds, Jr.; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.

 

Mr. Barton is survived by his brothers, Max Barton of Broken Arrow, OK, and Jim Barton of Gulf Shores, AL; step-children, Stella Bice, Dorothy Mann, Helen Wade, David Reynolds, and Johnny Reynolds; grandson, Robert Reynolds; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, September 28, 2014 at

Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry

Scoggins officiating.  Interment will follow in Subligna Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Linda Clark of LaFayette, daughters Crystal Clark  of Summerville, Amanda  and Paul Mitchell of Summerville  and Holy and Wesley Bryant of Trion, step father Libron Bramlett, sisters Debbie Bailey of Trion, and Yolanda Clark of Florida, a brother and sister in law Allen and Glenda Clark of Summerville, grandchildren, Jacob and Gracie Nelson, Dylan Mitchell, Aiden Mitchell, J.T. Mitchell, Austin Barlett, Wesley Bryant Jr.  Tristian Bryant, and several nieces and nephews also survive….

Funeral services will be held from United by Faith Baptist Church in Summerville on Friday at 3PM…with Rev. Barry Brown, Rev. John McGraw, and Rev. Ralph Sumner officiating Internment to follow in the LaFayette Cemetery…Pallbearers are Cliff and Curtis Frashier, Gene Cavin, Bobby Thompson, Andy and Mark Tidmore… Honorary pallbeareres are sons in law and nephews…
