Mrs. Bobbie Zula Ray Crane, 80, of Rinehart, AL died Tuesday, December 3, 2013

at the residence of her daughter in Pisgah, AL

 

Mrs. Crane was born July 30, 1933 in Rinehart, AL, the daughter of the late

Porter Alvin Ray and Ella Rhinehart Ray.  She was a homemaker and a self

employed house painter.  Mrs. Crane was preceded in death by sisters, Louise

Gaylor, Mae Nixon, Willie Lee Broome, and June Prestwood; and a brother,

Ernest Ray.

 

Mrs. Crane is survived by her husband, Charlie Crane; son, Charles Dean Crane; daughters, Deborah Carol Berry, Donna Cheryl Padgett, and Dana Charlene Leming; sisters, Bea Reynolds, Maggie Tallent, and Ruth Harris; brothers, George Ray, Alvin Ray, and Gene Ray; 5 Grandchildren; and 2 Great Grandchildren.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Crane will be held at 1:00 p. m. (EST) Friday, December 6,

2013  from the chapel of Mason Funeral Home, with Rev. Billy Murdock officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Dale Padgett, Daniel Padgett, Scott Padgett, Darryl Ray, Tim Leming, and Tyler Leming.

Mrs. Peggy Sue Ellenburg Obit (M)

Mrs. Peggy Sue Ellenburg, age 69, of Trion, GA, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at her residence.

Mrs. Ellenburg was born February 15, 1944, in Menlo, GA, daughter of the late Eva Jones Sumner and Carl McKinsey Sumner, Sr.  She was a member of the Teloga Baptist Church and the Nancy K. Warren Cancer Support Group.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Blue Bird.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Copeland, Eloise Parker, and JoAnne Crider.

Mrs. Ellenburg is survived by her husband, Eugene F. Ellenburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Nancy Taylor, Corey and Amy Crabtree, Robbie and Judy Ellenburg, Jeff Ellenburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Lori Taylor and Randy Pirkle, Kelli and Lee Narramore; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl Jr. and Jane Sumner, Ralph and Opal Sumner; sister, Charlene Scoggins; 14 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ellenburg will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 30, 2013, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Biddle officiating.  Burial will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Ricky Sumner, James Sumner, Robert Sumner, Rodney Barksdale, Tim Crider, and Mike Crider.

Mrs. Ellenburg will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the service hour on Saturday.

Mrs. Teresa Ann McNeese Obit (C)

 Mrs. Teresa Ann McNeese age 61, of Summerville, GA passed away, Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Redmond Regional Medical Ceenter. Mrs. McNeese was born on January 9, 1952 in Trenton, GA. She attended United by Faith Baptist Church and had been employed at Harriet-Henderson Mills. Mrs. McNeese was preceded in death by children, Ricky Lamar McNeese and Stephanie Jane McNeese; parents, Lester “Baldy” and Eule Jane Derryberry Whited; and brothers, Lamar Johns, James Lamar Johns, and David L. Johns.


Mrs. McNeese is survived by husband, Leroy McNeese; daughters, Robin (Kevin) Austin and Tammie Jean (Dennis) Mitchell; brothers, Bill Johns and Martin Whited; 5 grandsons, Bruce Hicks, Shawn Hicks, Austin Hicks, Bradley Bullard, and Travis Bullard; 3 great-grandchildren, J. W. Hicks, Savannah Hicks, and Georgia Hicks; number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 29, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. from the Petitt Chapel of Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Hicks, Bradley Bullard, Josh McCollough, Jerry “Pug” Hatcher, Sammy Westbrook, James Hatcher and Chuck Harris. Honorary Pallbearer will be Travis Bullard.

Mr. Thomas Robert ” Tommy”Dover Obit (M)

Mr. Thomas Robert “Tommy” Dover, age 79, of Trion, GA, died Monday, November 25, 2013, at his residence.

 

Mr. Dover was born February 14, 1934, in Trion, GA, son of the late Albert W. and Lucille Green Dover.  He was a member of the Ridgeway Baptist Church and was retired from Mount Vernon Mills.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lavonne Dover, David Dover, and Marvin Dover; and a sister, Shirley Nelson.

 

Mr. Dover is survived by his wife, Avanell Gayton Dover; sons and daughter-in-law, Randy Dover, Greg and Wanda Dover; sisters, Brenda Wilson and Peggy Boss; grandchildren, Amy Dover, Nick and Amber Dover, and Kelly Dover; and 4 great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 27, 2013, from the Ridgeway Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Powell, Rev. Wayne Craig, Bro. Ben Day, and Rev. Mrs. Shirley Delorise Boyd age 65 of Oak Street, Summerville, GA passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 at the residence of a son.  Mrs. Boyd was born June 19, 1948 in Dutton, AL.  She was a member of the Chapel Hill Baptist Church and was retired from the Packing Department of Mount Vernon Mills.  Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by son, Jerry W. “Junior” Boyd, Jr.; parents, Curtis Henry and Joyce Ethel Simpson Long; and brother, Lee Long.

Mrs. Boyd is survived by husband, Jerry W. Boyd, Sr.; sons and daughter-in-laws, R. C. and Jennifer Boyd and Stacy and Holly Boyd; daughter, Tammie Boyd; brothers, David Long, Tony Long, Jimmy Long and Henry Long; sisters, Mary Womack and Patricia Jennings; grandchildren, Jamie Boyd, Zack Boyd, Clay Boyd, Gracelyn Drake, Makaylee Boyd, and Keley McGill; great-grandchildren, Jayla Boyd; aunt and uncle, Billie Joe and Betty Simpson; nieces and nephews.

Mr. John L. Beam Obit (M)

Mr. John L. Beam, age 80, of Summerville, GA, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013, in the Redmond Regional Medical Center after a very brief illness.

 

Mr. Beam was born September 2, 1933, in Doddsville, MS, son of the late Charles Walton and Mamie L. Beam.  He has been a resident of Summerville, GA, for seven years.  Mr. Beam was a retired MSGT with the U. S. Air Force after 20 years of service, and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He was also a retired farmer and cattle farmer. He was a member of the Rena Lara Baptist Church of Rena Lara, MS, and was also a Mason and Shriner.  Mr. Beam’s ancestry has been traced back to Mr. Kimball Erskin Danforth Beam of Groton, MA, who lived from 1819 – 1896. In addition to his parents, Mr. Beam was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Beam and Elwood Beam.

 

Mr. Beam is survived by his wife, Bittena Carter Beam; daughters and sons-in-law, Cassandra and Tommy Ramage, Nelda and Ray Leone; son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Teresa Beam; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and Loyce Carter, Charles and Toni Beam, George and Betty Beam; sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Bill Spurr; brother-in-law, Clinton Carter; sisters-in-law, Barbara Bronson, Shirley Carter; special niece, Sue Owens; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Beam will be held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, November 27, 2013, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Baird officiating.  Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the Georgia National Cemetery with full military honors.

Mr. Steven Scott Galloway, age 42, of Lafayette, GA, passed
away Tuesday November 19, 2013, in Lafayette, GA. Mr.
Galloway was born November 10, 1971, in Lafayette, GA, the
son of Shirley Ruth Love Galloway and the late Jerry Wayne
Galloway.   He was owner of Galloway Enterprises,  a member
of the F.L.W. Outdoors, and the  North West GA Bass Club.
 
Survivors include his wife, Kindle LaDawn Kilgore Galloway,
mother, Shirley Ruth Love Galloway, son, Steven Scott
Galloway II, daughter Brandy Nicolle Kavades, sister, Sherry
Waynette Ray, grandchildren, Mikaela and Elliana Kavades.

Mrs. Georgia Mae Cochran, age 81 of Trion, GA passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at her residence.  Mrs. Cochran was born November 22, 1931 in Villanow, GA. was retired after 25 years of service from Riegel Textile Corporation.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Cochran; father and mother, C. B. Goodson and Lucy Mae Goodson; brothers, McGee Goodson and Rueben Goodson; sisters, Rebecca Craig, Charlotte Woods, and Jeanette Green; and great-granddaughter, Georgia Ailene Deering. 

Mrs. Cochran is survived by sons, Harold Leonard "Pee Wee" Cochran, Robert Lee Cochran, and Terry Dwayne Cochran; daughters, Linda (J. W.) Hunt, Deborah (Cedric) Price, Angela (Dewayne) Dooley, and Wanda (Kenny) Chaney; brother, Herman (Jeannie) Goodson; sisters, Mattie Williams, and Kathy (Jimmy) Hardin; 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; numbers of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Robert Dale Dilbeck, age 58 of S Third Street, Summerville, GA passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Dilbeck was born in Fort Oglethorpe, GA on June 9, 1955 to Nina Dilbeck Ledford and the late Rusty Dilbeck.  He was also preceded in death by brother, Gary Dilbeck; and nephew, Chance Kapinos.  Mr. Dilbeck was Baptist by faith.

Mr. Dilbeck is survived by son, Dustin Schrader; mother, Nina Ruth Cook Dilbeck Ledford;  friend, Tammy Wallin.

Mrs. Wilbanks was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Maude T. Townsend Hartline, was retired from Mohawk, Industries and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
