Mrs. Freda Jean Elrod, age 74, of Summerville, GA, passed away Tuesday December 10, 2013, at Floyd Medical Center.

Mrs. Elrod was born August 26, 1939, in  Dyersburg, TN, the daughter of the late Alvin Dennis and Ollie Bernice Ramsey Inman. She was a loyal member of the Berryton Church of God for 72 years, serving as Sunday School Secretary for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Elrod, son, Dwight Elrod, sister, Judy Majors. Jean loved her family and friends. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved life so very much. She was devoted to the Lord and spent much of her time with her church family. She had many special friends. She loved people so much and never met a stranger. She was a precious, joyous and loving soul that made the world a brighter place.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Randy & Michelle Elrod, Dennis & Peggy Elrod, grandchildren, Jeremy & Crystal Elrod, Brittany Elrod, Justin Elrod, Taylor Elrod, Chelsa Chambers.  Great-grandchildren, Ramsey and Addison Elrod.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday December 8, 2013, from the Berryton Church of God with Rev. Bill Cox and Rev. Jason Lee officiating with interment in the West Hill  Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be  Jeremy Elrod, Taylor Elrod, Alfred Donald Crabtree, Jr, Rodney Anglin, Donnie Steward and Jacob Anglin.  Honorary pallbearers, All friends and Church family.         .

Mrs. Elrod will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Wednesday December 11, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mr. William Eugene Brinkley, age 79, of Trion, GA, passed away Sunday, December 08, 2013 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Brinkley was born in Tunnel Hill, Georgia on March 27, 1934, son of the late Robert Andrew Brinkley and Daisy Plott Brinkley. He was 9 year veteran of the United States Army, attended the Old Way Baptist Church and prior to retirement, was employed as a mechanic with Mohawk Industries. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brinkley was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Brinkley; brothers, Tom Brinkley, Jim Brinkley, and Jerry Brinkley; and sisters, Mary Cummings and Janie Holbrook.

Mr. Brinkley is survived by his wife, Betty Brinkley; sons and daughter-in-law, Terry Brinkley and Randy and Julie Brinkley; brothers, Robert Brinkley and David Brinkley; sister, Louise Cummings; brothers-in-law, Winston Renfroe and Herman Wilbanks; one granddaughter, Brianna Hill and her husband, Matt; special niece, Patty Lee; special young man, Casey Smith and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Brinkley will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. David Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Byron Ernest Gallimore, age 73, of Mentone, AL, passed away Friday December 6, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Gallimore was born November 14, 1940, in Austell, GA, the son of the late Marcus Raiford and Opal Gladys Bennett Gallimore. He was a retired farmer, builder, land developer, and a member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Eleanor Foster, Barbara Lois Gallimore, and Sandra Frances Gallimore.

Survivors include his wife, Mae White Gallimore, daughters, Laura Lynn Gallimore Mosher, Lisa Ann Gallimore Eizaddoust, grandchildren, Ashton Mosher, Somer Eizaddoust, great-grandchildren, Emma Jo Mosher, Griffin Mosher, brother, Bobby Louis Gallimore and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday December 8, 2013, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Mann and Rev. James Braddy officiating with interment in the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Glenda Regina Bice, age 45, of Summerville, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Bice was born in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia on December 14, 1967, daughter of Ilean Johnson Martin Clark and the late Frank Edward Martin. In addition to her father, Mrs. Bice was preceded in death by a sister, Frankie Ilean Martin.

Mrs. Bice is survived by her sons, Chris Bice of Ringgold, GA and Brandon Bice of Summerville; mother and step-father, Ilean and Robert Clark of Chickamauga; a grandson, Charlie Davis; and a special friend, Ronnie Tucker.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Bice will be held Friday, December 6, 2013 at 3:30 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Rutledge officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnson Cemetery.

Mr. Samuel Leon Collins, 61, of Mentone, AL died Tuesday, December 3, 2013

at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Collins was born March 29, 1952, the son Christine Stubblefield and the late

Leon Collins.  He was employed with Roper Corporation.

Mr. Collins is survived by his mother, Christine Stubblefield; sons and daughters-

in-law, Chris and Jennifer Collins and Garrett and Amanda Collins; daughter and

son-in-law, Emily and Mitch Gregory; sister, Leona Wimpee; and 14 Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. EST Friday, December 6, 2013 at Mason

Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Beagles officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly

Springs Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Russell Wright, Mark Wright, Jesse

Crabtree, Stacey Bowman, Jim Rogers, and Jason Youngblood.

Mr. Collins will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive

friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. EST Thursday, December 5, 2013.
