MR. JESSIE LEE FOUNTAIN, age 72, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday, August 12, 2013. Born in Chattooga County, on March 28, 1941, a son of the late Jesse Eugene Fountain and Joann Ledford Hunter, Mr. Fountain was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills and was Church of God Holiness by faith. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Sue Youngblood, Sybil Miller and Charlotte McGuire. Mr. Fountain is survived by his wife Geneva Siffles Fountain; Daughters and sons-in-law: Darlene and Phillip Bruce and Patricia and Troy Tapp; Son and daughter-in-law Tony Lee, Sr. and Penny Fountain, all of Summerville. Brother: Junior Hunter, Six Grandchildren, Two Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Minister Blake Ferguson officiating, entombment in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Grandsons: Richard Tapp, Ricky Tapp, Tony Fountain, Jr., Brandon Fountain, Jason Brown and David Tapp. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Gladys Inez Dempsey, age 90 , formerly of Trion passed away Monday at Wood Dale Health and Rehabilitation in Dalton. Mrs. Dempsey was born September 2nd, 1922 in Trion and was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation Packing Department, she was a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, George Robert and Pluma Hawthorne Woods, sisters Anice Payton, Myrtle Moncrief, and Eva Bell Jordan and brothers Bill and Guy Woods, Mrs. Dempsey is survived by sons and daughters in law John and Jan Dempsey and William and Diane Dempsey of Dalton, granddaughter, Cheryle Marfilius of Dallas , grand son Paul A. MRS. VERDIE LEE CALLAN MORRIS, born October 6, 1920, an honorable daughter of Robert T. and Rosie Lee Mobbs Callan and loving wife of Jessie Glenn Morris passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at her home in the Pennville Community of Summerville, Georgia. Verdie was a child of God and member of Pennville First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher. She retired from Best Manufacturing Company of Menlo. Not only was she a loving wife and mother, but an accomplished seamstress, fine crafter, an artist, carver, gardener and homemaker, a beloved friend and neighbor who will be greatly missed. Verdie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Beulah Callan Hawkins, three brothers: Roy A. Callan, Fred Callan and Robert Callan, Jr., a Great Grandson Easton Barrett Morris and son-in-law Utah Rice. She is survived by four children: J. V. Morris (Betty), Martha Ann Morris Jones (Ben), Betty Lee Morris Rice and Joyce Sue Morris Hix (Jimmy), nine Grandchildren, eleven Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Mrs. Shirley Inez Baugh, age 59, of Summerville, GA died Thursday, August
8, 2013 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Baugh was born January 9, 1954 in Pikeville, TN, the daughter of the late
Millard and Willa Brock Womack. She was employed with the Collinsville
Nursing Home. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her
first husband, Don Autry, SR.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Baugh; son, Don Autry, JR; daughters and
husbands, Lynette and Robert Smith, Tammy and Michael Hughes; step-
daughters, Anita Patterson and Wendy Stone; brothers, Glenn Womack and
Jackie Womack; sisters, Kathy Grigsby and Margie Cooper; 15 Grandchildren;
and 3 Great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Mason
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Hobbs and Rev. Charles Bishop
officiating. Burial will follow in Subligna Cemetery. Active pallbearers are

Mr. Don Alexander Dixon, age 87, of Summerville, GA died Saturday, August
3, 2013 at Hutcheson Medical Center.
Mr. Dixon was born May 31, 1926 in Greenville, TN, the son of the late Robert
Alexander Dixon and Fonda Cox Dixon. He was a member of Dry Valley Baptist
Church. Mr. Dixon was retired from Sharpe Appliance Store where he was
employed as service manager for 30 years.
Survivors include his children, Ronnie Dixon, LaFayette, GA, Donna Jo Jones,
Mosshiem, TN, and Debra Harris, Jackson, GA; sister, Nancy Edwards,
Greenville, TN; brothers, Jack Cox, Highpoint, NC, Bill Dixon and Jim Dixon, Greenville, TN; 6
Grandchildren; and 14 Great Grandchildren.
Private graveside and interment services will be held Tuesday,
August 6, 2013 at Greenhills Memory Gardens with Rev. Tom Russell officiating.

Mr. James Tullon Frazier, age 76, of Summerville, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Floyd Medical Center.
Mr. Frazier was born in Mentone, Alabama on May 23, 1937, son of the late James Frazier and Beulah Tipton Frazier. He was employed with the Pritchett Pallet Company and was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Jewell Smith Frazier; a son, Freddie Frazier; a brother, William E. Frazier and a sister, Faye Smith.
Mr. Frazier is survived by his wife, Libby Frazier; a son and daughter-in-law,
Sammy and Kaye Frazier; brother, Jimmy Frazier; grandchildren, Kayla Frazier and Guthrie Frazier; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Frazier will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 1:00
P.M. in the chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the AMI cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Pritchett, Jackie Pritchett, Albert “Junior” Smith, George Smith, Tony Dowdy and Richard Blackmon. Honorary Pallbearers will be all family and personal friends.

Mr. Jehu Britton Crowe, age 98, of the Pennville Community, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Crowe was born in Mentone, Alabama on March 8, 1915, son of the late Franklin Eaton “Dock” Crowe and Virgie Leona Reece Crowe. He was a charter member of the Pennville Christian Alliance Church, and prior to retirement, was employed with Riegel Textile as a printer. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crowe was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Thomas Crowe.
Mr. Crowe is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Betty St. Clair of Summerville; a brother, James L. Crowe of Gaylesville; a granddaughter and her husband, Kimberly and Mark Lane; two great grandchildren, Brandy Jackson and Lacey Wooten; and three Great-great grandchildren, Lane White, Jared White, and Selena Watkins.
Funeral Services for Mr. Crowe will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 4 :00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Studdard and Rev. Ken Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pennville Christian Alliance Church Cemetery.
