Mr. Kenneth Lee Kinsey, II, age 32, of Summerville, GA died Saturday, March

2, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Kinsey was born September 8, 1980 in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, the son of

Kenneth Lee Kinsey and Jean Ellenburg.  He was employed with Pirelli Tires.

Mr. Kinsey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jessie Mae Kinsey and

Gordon W. Kinsey.

Survivors include his wife, Mindy Kinsey; son, Christian Lee Kinsey; mother,

Jean Ellenburg; father and step-mother, Kenneth Lee and Sue Kinsey; brothers

and sisters-in-law, Brian and Pat Corey, Matt Ammons, Alan Ammons, Gordon

Lee and Davonna Kinsey; step-brothers, Joseph Brown, Josh Clark, and Junior

Norrod; step-sisters, Cheyenne Brown and Alicia Norrod;  mother-in-law and

father-in-law, Julia and Paul Berry; a number of nieces; 1 great nephew; and numerous friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at Mason  Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Chasteen officiating.  Burial will follow

in West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Daniel Walters, Lonnie Walters,

Casey Crider, Devlin Crider, Billy Blackmon, Jason Lemley, Lee Veetch, and

Jason Mull.  Honorary pallbearers will be Nate Blalock, Keith Rowland, Scotty

Walters, Wesley Hatcher, Ben Duncan, Kevin Adkins, Aunts and Uncles.

Mr. Kinsey will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive

friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. Thursday, March 7, 2013.  Flowers will be

accepted or memorials may be made to the Christian Kinsey Fund at Southeast

   Mrs. Margie Ruth Henderson, age 98 of Tinney Road, Trion, GA passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 in Redmond Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Henderson was born in Halls Valley, Chattooga County, GA on November 18, 1914.  She was retired from Summerville Manufacturing and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ.

   Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by husband, Wiley Thomas Henderson, Sr.; father and mother, W. T. Westbrook and Cora Hall Westbrook; sister, Nevada Hollis; brothers, Paul Westbrook, Roy Westbrook, Felton Westbrook, Henry Westbrook, and Roland Westbrook.

   Mrs. Henderson is survived by son, Wiley Thomas Henderson, Jr.; granddaughter, Christie Lynn Turner of North Carolina and grandson, Steve Salerno of Jacksonville, FL; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Neva Hawkins; several nieces and nephews. 

   Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Minister Hugh Glaze officiating.  Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery.

   Visitation for Mrs. Margie Ruth Henderson will be Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m..

Jesse Clark

Jesse T. Clark, 17, of Ringgold, died on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from injuries received 

in an automobile accident.

Jesse was a member of the Junior Class at Heritage High School. He was of the Baptist Faith. 

Jesse worked at Steak and Shake and was a volunteer with the Catoosa County Rescue

CERT team.

Survivors are his mother and step-father, Michelle and Corby Searcy; father, Gregory Scott

Clark; brother, Brandon Scott Clark; grandparents, Kenneth Flood, Sandra and Hershel Wilbanks,

Judy Clark, Larry Clark and Tammy Lee; uncles and aunts, Jeremiah Flood, Josh and Samantha

Trammell, Adam and Tammy Trammell, Mark and Vickie Clark, Jeff Clark and Billy Cronon;

numerous other relatives and close friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Stephen

Pearson officiating. Entombment will be in Greenhills Memorial Gardens, Summerville, Ga.

Mr. Roger Dale Godwin, age 75 of Lyerly, GA, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 in a Rome hospital.

Mr. Godwin was born in Lanett, AL. on March 15, 1937, the son of the late John E. Godwin and Helen Sykes Godwin. Prior to his retirement Mr.Godwin was employed with Art Marble and Stone in Chamblee, GA. He enjoyed his time with his daughter and granddaughter and working at Rivermont Farm. Mr. Godwin loved to play golf and snow skiing. Mr. Godwin was a man who loved God.

Survivors include his son, Max Godwin of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Ashley Godwin of Lyerly, GA; his granddaughter, Gracie McDaniel; a brother, Tommy Godwin of Newnan, GA and sister, Susan Godwin of Newnan, GA.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Trion Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Trion, GA with Dr. William Flannagan officiating.

MR. WILLIAM ROTHER WOOTEN, age 97, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013, at his residence. A native of DeKalb County, Alabama He was born to the late Lon and Rosetta Reeves Wooten on October 4, 1915. Mr. Wooten was a charter member of West Berryton Faith Temple, attended the Lyerly First Baptist Church, and retired from the cutting department of Best Mfg. Company. He was preceded in death by the following children-Carolyn Helton, Henry L. “Buddy” Wooten, Truman Wooten, and Billy Fane Wooten, a grandson-the late Todd Helton, three Sisters, and five Brothers all died earlier.

Surviving are His wife, to whom he was married 76 years, Lillie B. Willoughby Wooten; daughter & son-in-law-Diane and Larry Hunter of Summerville; sisters-Viola Hamilton of Chickmauga and Jean Ezell of Scottsboro, AL.; 8 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 3th, at 2 P.M. from the J. D. Hill memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Dr. James Baird officiating, interment in the Family plot of Summerville Cemetery. Mrs. Waynie P. Edge, age 86, of Thomas Road, Trion, GA passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013.  Mrs. Edge was born November 14, 1926 in Cherokee County, AL.  Mrs.Edge grew up in Menlo, GA, and then moved to Summerville, GA.  She lived in Summerville, GA and Trion, GA since 1980, after living in Detroit, MI for six years.  She was retired from Wire Tech and was a active member of the Pennville Christian Missionary Alliance Church. 

Mrs. Edge was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert R. Edge, Sr., parents, Tim and Emma Pickle; brothers, Wilburn and Harold Pickle.

Mrs. Edge is survived by step-daughters, Jennifer Gibson and Juanita Hogge of Nashville, TN and step-son, Hubert R. Edge, Jr. of Savannah, GA; three grandchildren, and four great-grand children; two sisters, Maurene Wallin and Haynie Speer of Summerville, GA; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pennville Christian Missionary Alliance Church with Rev. Carlos Martinez and Rev. George Palmer officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens. 

Visitation for Mrs. Waynie P. Edge will be Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. 

Pallbearers will be the following gentlemen and they are asked to assemble at the funeral home on the day of the service by 10:30 a.m.; Mark Pickle, Gerald Pickle, Jason Pickle, Tim Pickle, Jason Hill, and Jared Hill.  Honorary pallbearers will be nieces & great nieces and the Adult Sunday School Class of the Pennville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
