The Chattooga County FFA is teaming up with several local partners to help support families this holiday season. The organization announced it will distribute 100 Community Commodity Boxes filled with fresh foods and pantry staples to families in need across Chattooga County.

This year’s effort is made possible through partnerships with Ingles Market, Menlo Lucky’s, Alexander’s Produce, Wright Meat Market, Chattooga County FCCLA, Summerville Middle FFA, and the Chattooga County Young Farmers. The boxes will include a variety of items aimed at helping households prepare holiday meals and stretch their grocery budgets.

The food distribution will take place on Monday, November 24th at 1:00 p.m. at the Chattooga County Ag Center. The giveaway is first-come, first-served, and will continue while supplies last.

FFA advisors say community support has played a major role in making the project possible, and donations are still welcome to help expand the program. Those wishing to contribute can contact Dr. David Yarbrough, CHS FFA Advisor, at 229-848-4199.

The Chattooga County FFA extends its thanks to the community for its continued support and encourages residents to help spread the word about the upcoming food box distribution.
