Chattooga Family Connection recently marked another holiday success by stuffing and delivering 150 Christmas stockings to local students, ensuring children across the county felt supported during the season. But organizers say the stockings represent just one part of the organization’s broader mission.

Coordinator Maisha Ludy thanked the volunteers, donors, and partners who made the effort possible, noting the impact goes far beyond a single holiday event. Monthly meetings will resume January 22, 2026.

Throughout the year, Chattooga Family Connection works behind the scenes to strengthen outcomes for children and families by bringing schools, nonprofits, service agencies, and community leaders together. The organization helps identify challenges early and connects families with resources such as food assistance, health services, counseling, and other local supports that remove barriers to student success.

Rather than duplicating services, Chattooga Family Connection focuses on collaboration—helping community partners work in sync so help is easier to access and more effective. From meeting basic needs to supporting long-term stability, the organization plays a key role in building a stronger safety net for Chattooga County families year-round.
