Chattooga Family Connection has announced details for its upcoming Thanksgiving event while also setting a deadline for its already active Christmas Stuff a Stocking Donation Drive.

The organization’s Home for the Holidays Thanksgiving event will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2026, at the Community Resource Center of Chattooga County.

The event will once again be held as a drive-through distribution from 1 PM until 3 PM.

Coordinator Maisha Ludy will be contacting local schools to determine when their food drives will take place and to gather additional information that can be shared with the Family Connection collaborative.

Meanwhile, Chattooga Family Connection is continuing its Stuff a Stocking Christmas Donation Drive, which was launched earlier this month to collect small gifts and everyday items for local children, teenagers and families.

Organizers say all donated items for the Christmas project should be collected no later than Friday, December 4. That deadline will allow enough time for stockings to be prepared and returned to local schools before students leave for Christmas break.

Suggested donations include lip gloss and ChapStick, personal hygiene items, socks, hair products and brushes, toys, dolls and action figures, hats and gloves, journals, cups and water bottles, perfume and cologne, and gift cards. Other appropriate stocking-stuffer items are also welcome.

Monetary donations are also being accepted.
