Mrs. Cynthia Pauline Crowe, age 88 of Gaylesville, AL passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Crowe was born in Floyd County, Georgia on August 15, 1920, daughter of the late Robert ?Bob? Dempsey and Francis Keith Dempsey.  She was a member of the New Hope Independent Church in Jamestown, AL and prior to retirement was employed with Best Manufacturing. Mrs. Crowe is survived by her husband of 70 years, James L. Crowe of Gaylesville; Daughter and Son-in- law, Barbara and Odell Hammett of Gaylesville; Sisters, Sarah Jeneal Wilson, Michigan, and   Bobbie Allison, California; grandchildren, Dale (Vickie) Hammett, Jeff (Danae) Hammett and Cindy (Billy Don) DeBerry; great grandchildren, Meagan Tabb, Josh Tabb, Jon Hammett, Katlin Hammett, Sydney Hammett, Lauren Hammett, Trey Deberry, and Emily DeBerry. Funeral Services for Mrs. Crowe will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with her Grandson, Rev. Jeff Hammett officiating.  Interment will follow in the Alpine Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Joe Breazeal, Coleman Thompson, Ralph   Sentell, Donald Sentell, Richard Sentell, Marty Crowe, Samuel Crowe, Michael Owens and Bud Dempsey.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Ed Cavin, James Moseley, Ed Thompson, Gerald Dempsey, Dempsey Lawson, Lee Toles, Jehu Crowe, George Crowe, Jr. and Bill Crowe.    Mrs. Crowe will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. The Family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the New Hope Independent Church or to the Alpine Cemetery Fund.   Mason Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
