Several downtown Summerville businesses are teaming up to offer a special holiday shopping event on Thanksgiving night, inviting residents to kick off the Christmas season with late-night deals, refreshments, and festive fun.
For the first time, local merchants will open their doors at 9:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving evening, giving shoppers the chance to browse early Christmas specials once family gatherings and holiday meals have wrapped up.
Sweet Beaux Mercantile is coordinating the effort alongside several other downtown shops, including Hayden Taylor Designs, New Moon Threads, Ga Ga’ Boutique, and Dirt Pour Coffee and Café. Together, they hope to create a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere for those looking to get a jump on holiday shopping.
Organizers say the idea is to give shoppers a fun way to celebrate the start of the Christmas season. Visitors are encouraged to bring friends and family, enjoy a drink or coffee from Dirt Pour, and stroll through the shops to take advantage of special Thanksgiving-night promotions. Businesses say there will be items available for both women and men, making the event ideal for groups or families looking to shop together.
Downtown merchants say they hope the Thanksgiving-night opening becomes a new holiday tradition in Summerville, offering a small-town alternative to big-box Black Friday crowds.
