Friday night football returns to the airwaves tonight on WZQZ as Trion heads south to Atlanta and Chattooga welcomes Dade County to the Little Big Horn!  WZQZ will have a live video stream of the Trion vs BEST Academy game on the WZQZ Facebook page.

Both Trion and Chattooga are in the thick of their region schedules this season and both play pivotal games tonight.  Chattooga finds themselves in a three way tie for first place in Region 7AA with Dade County and Fannin County.  All three teams are undefeated in region play but one of those teams is guaranteed a loss tonight as Chattooga and Dade will square off with the winner at least holding a share of the top spot in the region.  Chattooga is 4-2 on the season and 3-0 in region play.  After starting the season at 0-2, the Indians have reeled off 4 straight wins scoring over 40 points in each contest.  The back end of Chattooga’s schedule will be their toughest stretch as they play Dade County, Fannin County and Pepperell over the next two weeks.

The Trion Bulldogs will make a two hour trek down I-75 to Fulton County to take on the BEST Academy Eagles at historic Henderson Stadium, formerly known as Grady Stadium, in downtown Atlanta.  The Bulldogs, who are 5-1 on the season, are fresh off a bye week and looking to score their first region victory after Bowdon handed the Dawgs their only loss of the season three weeks ago.

The Trion vs BEST Academy game will the radio game tonight and can be heard on 99.1 FM and AM 1180.  Both the Trion and Chattooga games will also be broadcast live on the WZQZ Facebook page.  Assuming an adequate internet connection is available in Atlanta, WZQZ will carry a live video stream of the Trion game on the WZQZ Facebook page.

Pregame coverage will begin tonight at 7pm with kickoff to follow at 7:30pm.
