In Chattooga County, Habitat Coosa Valley is offering homeowner information sessions for residents interested in learning more about its homeownership program. The sessions are designed to help potential applicants understand program requirements and the steps toward owning an affordable home. Two sessions are planned in Summerville:

-
February 4 at 10:00 a.m. — Community Resource Center of Chattooga, 50 Eleanor Ave., Summerville
In addition to these local sessions, applications for the 2026 homeownership cycle are open through February 27, 2026. Prospective homeowners are required to attend an information session before submitting an application, available at habitatcoosavalley.org or in person at the Habitat ReStore, 504 East First Ave, Rome, GA.
Habitat homeowners actively partner in building their own homes alongside volunteers, contributing “sweat equity” to strengthen both homes and community ties.
