
Update: Chief Deputy Kevin Woods says that they are speaking with the person who made the statement about the threat to Wal-Mart and there is NO credible threat to the store. WZQZ News spoke with the chief deputy:
Law enforcement received a call this afternoon claiming that an individual involved with the shooting in Holland could be at the Trion Wal-Mart Store.
WZQZ news just spoke with Chief Deputy Kevin Woods of the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department.
Law enforcement received a phone call earlier where the caller stated that someone involved with the shooting in Holland was located in the Wal Mart store in Trion. After securing the store, law enforcement has determined that there was no threat. Law enforcement is currently still at the store trying to determine who made the call and why the call was made.
We will share any new information as it becomes available but there currently is no active threat at the Wal Mart in Trion.
