Mrs. Lillie Pearl Cook, age 81, of Summerville, GA died Friday, February 5, 2010 at Redmond
Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Cook was born April 17, 1928, the daughter of the late Tom and Ollie Holt Brooks. She
was retired from Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Mills. Mrs. Cook was a member of Oakhill
United Methodist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Ken Cook; son, Stanley Cook; and a brother, Billy Brooks.
Survivors include grandchildren, Laura & Scott Kiger, Lyerly, GA and Chip Cook, Pigeon Forge,
TN; great grandsons, Rhett Kiger and Jagger Yancey; daughter-in-law, Kim Cook Bohannon;
sister-in-law, Ophelia Brooks; special friends, Leonard and Betty Smith and Florence League.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Mason Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Jack Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Cemetery. Active
pallbearers will be Joe Reed, William Elrod, Bob Blackwell, Duane Yarbrough, Leonard Smith,
and Ronnie Winters. Honorary pallbearers will be Knitting Buddies and members of her
Oakhill United Methodist Church Sunday School Class, and Ronnie Webb.
Mrs. Cook will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00
until 8:00 p. m. Saturday, February 6, 2010.
