A local dental practice in Summerville is now helping make dental care more accessible for veterans in Chattooga County and Northwest Georgia.
Georgia Family Dental & Facial Aesthetics has announced that Dr. Christopher “Kyle” Daniel is now part of the VA Community Care Network, which means eligible veterans may be able to receive dental care locally instead of traveling outside the area for treatment.
The office says it is proud to serve veterans and honored to be part of a network that helps connect former service members with needed care closer to home. For many patients, having a local option can make the process more convenient and reduce the burden of long-distance travel for exams, x-rays, and treatment.
According to information provided by the office, veterans must first receive a referral from their current VA provider in order to use their Community Care benefits with Dr. Daniel. After that referral is sent, the office’s VA coordinator will receive the information and contact the patient to schedule an exam and x-rays.
Following that initial visit, the office will then submit a treatment plan to the VA for approval. Once approval is received, the patient will be contacted again to schedule treatment. The office notes that the approval step can sometimes take a little time, but says staff works diligently to follow up and help advocate for patients throughout the process.
Georgia Family Dental & Facial Aesthetics is located at 19 Walnut Avenue in Summerville. Veterans wanting more information can contact the office at 706-857-4741 or by email at summerville@gafamilydental.com.
The announcement marks an important step in expanding local healthcare access for veterans and giving those who served another care option right here in the community.
