The Sara Hightower Regional Library System is inviting the community to get creative during its upcoming Makerspace Monday event at the Chattooga County Library in Summerville.

The hands-on event will be held Monday, February 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the library, located at 360 Farrar Drive. The six-hour session gives participants the opportunity to explore and use a variety of specialized equipment available through the library’s makerspace.

Attendees can sign up for time slots to use the Cricut machine, 3-D printers, a large-format printer, and a laser engraver. Materials are available at cost, or participants may bring their own supplies.

Registration is required to use the makerspace materials. Those interested can call 706-857-2553 or visit the library’s circulation desk to reserve a spot.

Library officials say Makerspace Monday is designed to encourage creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning for residents of all ages in Chattooga County.

The event is open to the public.
