A 24-year-old man was arrested following an alleged hit-and-run crash involving two vehicles in a Summerville parking lot earlier this month, according to an arrest report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities identified the suspect as Zachariah Xavier Jonjock, 24.

The incident was reported December 9, 2025, on private property. Investigators say the suspect allegedly left the scene before law enforcement arrived, heading toward the city limits. Deputies later located him a short time afterward and conducted an investigation, including speaking with people involved.

The report states one vehicle was backed into while moving through the parking lot, and the suspect allegedly returned to his vehicle and drove away after the collision. Authorities noted visible damage to the other vehicle and damage to the suspect’s rear bumper.

Jonjock was charged with duty to stop at scene of accident (hit and run) and a private property motor vehicle accident violation. He was transported to the Chattooga County Jail. No injuries were listed in the report.
