A Chattooga County deputy was dispatched to a home in Back Berryton Road last Friday after a woman had claimed she had not been home all day but that her boyfriend was there threatening to break all of her stuff in her home. The woman said that 42-year-old Ronald Lee lived with her and that he had been drinking all day and was texting her.

The deputy went to the residence to speak with Lee, and when Lee stepped out of the residence, he was highly intoxicated and told someone he was on the phone with that he was going to jail.

Lee was asked to give his ID to the deputy but said it was inside so the deputy just asked him his name and birthday. Lee gave the deputy a wrong name and said his license was out of Chicago. Lee became irritable and was trying to go in and out of the house. Lee was asked multiple times to sit down and calm down but he continued walking around trying to get back into the house. The deputy then placed Lee under arrest.

After a search of the house to make sure Lee hadn’t damaged any items, he was taken to the Chattooga County jail. During booking, Lee lay on the ground and was being very difficult with the officers and would not leave the booking room after being searched. When the jail officer tried putting Lee in his cell Lee ran away to another inmate trustee. Other jail officers had to help assist with getting Lee into his cell.
