Mr. Carl Alexander McKenzie 89 of 71 6th street Trion passed away on Saturday, October 24th at Redmond Regional Medical Center.  He was born December 7th 1919 in Chattooga County to the late Taylor and Mary Smallwood McKenzie.  He was retired from Mt. Vernon Reigel Textile and was a member of the Quarter Century Club, Trion 1st Baptist Church and Senior Nutrition Center, He was preceded in death by his wife Ollie Mae Tillery McKenzie, special friend Sarah Ward, 4 brothers, Conley, James, Lee Gene and Marion McKenzie.

Survivors include sister, Thelma Jones, Trion, step-daughter, Opal Sprayberry, Trion, 2 step-grandsons, Ricky Sprayberry, Summerville And Ronnie Sprayberry Virginia, plus several nieces and nephews also survive.  Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday October 27th at 2PM from the Chapel of Erwin Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Floyd Roebuck officiating, interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens… In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trion 1st Baptist Church..Pall bearers are requested to meet at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1:30 PM and include the following Jay Jones, Ronnie And Ricky Sprayberry, Scott Thomas, John B. Williams and James Carter.. Mr. McKenzie will lie in state at Erwin Petitt Funeral Home on Tuesday October 27th from 12 noon to 2PM…Erwin Petitt Funeral Hme has charge of arrangements for Mr. Carl Alexander McKenzie who passed away on Saturday..
