Mr. Archie Ross Sibert, age 84, of Trion, GA, died Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Sibert was born October 20, 1937, in Cherokee County, AL, son of the late Rosco and Velma Sarratt Sibert.  He was a member of North Summerville Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement in 2000, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills for 32 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He enjoyed spending time with friends and fishing at Wallace River Point Cove, shopping at flea markets, and working in his yard and garden.  His favorite holiday was Christmas and he would begin to decorate his home before Thanksgiving.  He was loved by many and helped twice as many!  His favorite advise to his grandchildren was, “to keep it between the yellow lines and in between the ditches baby.”

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sibert was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Sparks Sibert; a son, Jesse Michael Wood; great-granddaughter, Amber Wright; sisters, Dana Scott, Joann Cash, and Peggy Sims; brothers, James “J.B.” Sibert, Robert Sibert, and Rodney Sibert.

Survivors include his daughters, Linda Bolton, Debbie (Jim) Crabb, and Vicki Walker; a sister, Lulabelle Sibert; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Graveside and interment services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 25, 2021, at Greenhills Memory Gardens with Rev. Tom Russell officiating.  Active pallbearers will be Dennis Bolton, Carl Bolton, Chris Zanzig, Austin Falk, Ross Palmer, and Michael Carmon.  Honorary pallbearers will be all great-grandsons.
