Mr. Aubrey Clinton (Smitty) Smith, age 64, of Gaylesville, AL, passed away Saturday September 28, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Smith was born December 13, 1948, in Conyers, GA, the son of Louise Kitchens Smith and the late Ervin Smith. Mr. Smith was employed in 2009 with Chattooga County as Chattooga County Animal Control Officer. He was a farm manager, a former Chattooga County Deputy, and had also worked with the Trion Police Department.

Survivors include his wife, Gina Cooper Smith, mother, Louise Smith, Conyers, GA, daughters, Tiffany Smith, Tucson, AZ, Tanya Smith, Summerville, GA, step-daughter, Stephanie Williams, Hendersonville, TN, grandchildren, Scarlett Williams, Hope Smith, Oran Smith, brothers, Anthony Smith, Larry Smith, Conyers, GA.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday October 2, 2013, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Talmadge Pope officiating.

Mr. Smith will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Animal Advocates of Chattooga County, P.O. Box 220, Summerville, GA, 30747
