Mr. Billy Joe  Gann, age 77, of Summerville, GA, passed away Friday August 1, 2014, at his residence.

Mr. Gann was born June 17, 1937, in Hamilton Alabama, the son of the late John and Edna Howell Gann.  Mr. Gann was retired from Mt Vernon Mills and a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Gann was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Gann, sister, Marie Gann, grandsons, Shane Chamlee, Billy Henderson, granddaughters, Becky and Sherry Henderson, a son-in-law, Gary Chamlee.

Survivors include his children, William Gann, Becky Chamlee, Patricia & Willard Hall, sister, Virgina Gann Couch, 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 4 greeat-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive Billy Joe Gann.

Funeral service will be held 5:00 p.m. Sunday August 3, 2014 from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. LeBron Long officiating with interment in the West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers, Michael Gann, Jamie Kilgore, Anthony Black, Bill Miller, Barry Bramlett, Corey Hunt.  Honorary pallbearers  will be the members of the New Bethel Baptist Church.

Mr. Gann will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday August 2, 2014.
