Mr. Calvin C. Mason, age 84, of Summerville, passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Mason was born in Cherokee County, AL on April 29, 1925, son of the late Arthur Mason and Luna Henderson Mason. He was preceded in death by brothers, Leonard Mason, Gilmer Mason, Willard Mason and James Mason. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Mason was employed with Best Manufacturing.

Mr. Mason is survived by his wife, Violet Mason of Summerville; daughter, Stella Roberts of Summerville; sisters, Mary Hicks of Centre, AL and Margie Payne of Rome; four grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Graveside and Interment Services for Mr. Mason will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the Green Hills Memory Gardens with Minister Buddy Roberts officiating.

Mr. Mason will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
