Mr. Charles E. “Buddy” Hammonds, age 83, of Trion, GA, passed away peacefully Friday January 12, 2018, in Floyd Medical Center after injuries sustained in an automobile on January 9, 2018.

Mr. Hammonds was born September 15, 1934, in Trion, GA, the son of the late Edward Dawson Hammonds and Lucille Sosebee Hammonds.  Mr. Hammonds was a self employed electrician and preceded in death by a son, James Hammonds, a sister, Nina Whitaker.
Survivors include his wife; Jean   Hammonds, daughter; Debbie Baird Williams, and grandson; Thomas Nicholas Boyd.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday- January 15, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin J. Norton officiating. Burial will follow at Old Trion Cemetery.
Mr. Hammonds will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Monday- January 15, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Georgia State Patrol and the trauma/ICU team of Floyd Medical Center for their compassion and care during this time.
