Mr. Charles Edward Marmet, age 58, of Cloudland, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the Floyd Medical Center.

Mr. Marmet was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on July 24, 1954, son of the late Frank James Marmet and SueBeth Krickel Marmet. He was was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Marmet was a veteran, having served in the United States Army, and in addition to being a handyman and jack of all trades, he retired from the shipping department of Roper Industries.

Mr. Marmet is survived by his wife, Janice Sue Edgeworth Marmet; sons and daughters-in-law, Michel B. and Rashell Marmet, and John E. and Kourtney Marmet; daughter and her fiancé, Jennifer S. Marmet and Sam Robinson; sister, Barbara A. Marmet ; Life brothers, MA Spencer, Tony Sipsy, Max Black, and Kenny Evans; five grandchildren, Ryan Marmet, William Marmet, Jaycea Marmet, Brody Marmet, and Memphis Marmet.

Funeral Services for Mr. Marmet will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Edgeworth and Rev. Billy Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Marmet, John Marmet, Manning Spencer, II, MA Spencer, James Sprayberry and Larry Edgeworth. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Gilreath Mill Community and all personal friends.

Mr. Marmet will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
