MR. CHARLES EDWARD PADGETT, age 66, of Resaca, Georgia, formerly of Chattooga County, passed away Saturday evening in Dalton, Georgia hospital. Mr. Padgett was born in Chattooga County, Georgia on October 10, 1955, a son of the late Dewey William and Mary Josephine Gentry Padgett. He was retired truck driver for DMI corporation.

Surviving are His wife, Connie Wood Padgett; daughters, Mary Hines, Chantel Barnette, and Brittney Wood; sons, Dewey Padgett and Odell Wood; sister, Lola Odell Hudgins; several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 15th, at 3:00 P.M. from the Welcome Gap Baptist Church with Rev, Greg Williams and Bobby Banks officiating, interment in Davis Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Joey Hudgins, Robert Walker, Timothy Wood, Lee Hudgins, Junebug, and Jimmy Hudgins. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
