Mr. Clyde Alfred Day, age 83, of Menlo, Georgia, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Oakview Nursing and Rehab. Mr. Day was born in Menlo, Georgia on August 9, 1928, son of the late Alfred Day and Annie Myrtle Hammond Day. He was a self-employed used car dealer and a member of the Menlo First Baptist Church. Mr. Day is survived by his wife, Louise Thomas Day, sons, Terry Day, Tim Day, daughter, Christy Camp, brother Gene Day, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mr. Day will be held Monday, January 16, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Dempsey and Rev. Larry Elliott officiating. Interment will follow in the Alpine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ralph Willingham, Wayne Powell, Bruce Agee, Tommy Ballard, Bud Willis and Larry Mann. Honorary Pallbearers will be the men’s Sunday School class of the Menlo First Baptist Church. Mr. Day will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
