Mr. Corey Joey Boyd, age 22 of Summerville, GA passed away Thursday- February 15, 2018 at Floyd Medical Center as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident.
Mr. Boyd was born June 23, 1995 in Rome, GA to the late Joey K. Boyd and Janice Lucille Morgan Boyd.  He was employed with OTR .
Survivors include his wife, Kaylee Payton Boyd, children, Joleigh Boyd & Sofia Boyd,  mother, Janice Boyd, grandparents, Ronnie Joe Boyd, Teresa Ponder, Mary Crabb, aunt Lisa Hatcher, and a sister, Shana Wood, in –laws, Darryl & Melissa Payton, aunts, Kerry Wood, Misty Hamilton, Penny Ammons.
Funeral services for Mr. Boyd  will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday- February 18, 2018, from the chapel of Mason Funeral Home,  with Rev. Micah Gillespie officiating. Interment will follow at AMI cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Chris Bowman, Michael Farmer, Ben Mobbs, Stacy Boyd, Bo Boyd, Josh Barnes, Darryl Payton and Kevin Payton.  Honorary pallbearers will be the employee’s of OTR, Levi Ragland, Andrew Batts, Tony Barnes, Tony Erick, Chad Barnes.
Mr. Boyd will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Saturday- February 17, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m.
