Mr. David Eugene Hamby, age 61, of Lyerly, GA died Wednesday, March 07, 2012.

Mr. Hamby was born September 29, 1950 in Trion, GA, the son the late Cosby Frank and Hattie Foshee Hamby. He was a former truck driver. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Jean Tidmore.

Survivors include his children, Anthony and wife, Sandra Hamby, Steven Hamby, Pete Huggins, Tammy Hamby, Tamera Hamby, Crystal Wilson, and Stephanie Hamby; brothers, Sammy Hamby, John Tidmore, and Cosby Frank Hamby, JR; sister, Gladys Roam; and 10 Grandchildren.

Graveside and interment services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at Summerville Cemetery with Bro. Charles Bennett officiating.  Pallbearers will be Sammy Hamby, JR, Shane Evans, Timothy Evans, Todd White, Micheal White, Steven Hamby, Anthony Hamby, Pete Huggins and Austin White..

Mr. Hamby will be in state at 306 James Street, Summerville, GA after 5:00 p. m. Thursday.
