Mr. G. C. Pickle, age 80, of Lyerly, GA passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Roman Court, in Rome, GA.

Mr. Pickle was born January 18, 1931 in Cherokee County, AL, the son of the late Grover and Lilly Loveless Pickle. He was retired from GTE Telephone Company, was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, and attended Lyerly United Methodist Church. He was a third degree master mason with Lyerly Masonic Lodge # 338.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Cook Pickle; daughter and son-in-law,Debbie and Ronnie Floyd; grandchildren, Kelly & Michelle Floyd, Jonathan & Lee Floyd; and a great grandchild, Tyler Floyd.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 from the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Rev. J. B. McNeil and Rev. Marshall Bryan officiating. Interment will be in Lyerly Cemetery with Masonic Lodge Rites. Active pallbearers will be members of Lyerly Masonic Lodge #338.

Mr. Pickle will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12 noon until the hour of service on Saturday. At other hours the family will be at the residence of Debbie and Ronnie Floyd, 955 Wildlife Lake Road, Summerville, GA. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be madeto the Lyerly Masonic Lodge #338.
