HERSHELL GLENN THOMAS, AGE 90, Trion, Georgia went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 19, 2017. He was born in the Waterville community on December 22, 1926, to the late Jeffie & Bessie McConkey Thomas. He served his county during WW II in the U. S. Navy. Was retired from Koehring Southern Crane Company in Chattanooga, TN.

He enjoyed farming and harvesting a big garden every year for family and neighbors. He also enjoyed listening to bluegrass music and working on old tractors; and was a member of Waterville Baptist Church in Trion, GA. Along with His parents, he is preceded in death by grandparents, George & Eva Bandy Thomas, John & Martha McConkey, brother, Alfred Thomas, sister, Betty Jones, infant son, Terry Glenn Thomas, son, Donnie Moulder, son-in-law, Donnie Cabe, great grandchildren, Brennan & Harrison Baker.

Surviving is His beloved wife of seventy years, Nell Langston Thomas, their children, Wayne (Wendy) Thomas of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA., Reita Cabe, Susan (Terrell) Baker, Keith (Vanessa) Thomas all of Trion, GA., Kim (Stan) Reynolds of Summerville, GA., daughter-in-law, Kathy Moulder of Brewton, AL., grandchildren, Jimmy & Valerie Moulder, Jeffery & Darlene Moulder, Janene & Jarrod Jones, Misty Thomas, Tiffany Thomas, Jeremy & Lynn Cabe, Matthew & Amy Cabe, Andy & Tori Baker, Ben & Paige Baker, Jon & Kristin Baker, Cole Thomas, Chase Thomas, Caleb Reynolds & fiance’ Morgan Smith, 14 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Grand Granddaughter, niece Lori (Mike) Ossmann. The Family will receive friends Saturday, December 23rd from 10:00 A.M. until the service at 1:00 P.M. at Waterville Baptist Church with Pastor Sam Barrett officiating, burial will follow in Bryan Cemetery, LaFayette, GA.
