Mr. James Emory “Cha Cha Bug” Cochran, age 54 of Conyers, GA, formerly of Trion, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

Mr. Cochran was born in Summerville, Georgia on March 1, 1958, son of Grady E. Cochran and Sara Allene Millican Cochran. He was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church, and a 1977 Graduate of Trion High School, where he was a member of the 1974 State Champion Football Team. He was a past member of the Trion 50 Yard Club and prior to retirement, was employed with Mt. Vernon Mills.

Mr. Cochran is survived by his wife, Debra Crosby Cochran; son and daughter-in-law, Taft and Carrie Cochran; daughters and son-in-law, Abby and Randy Parker and Donna Crosby; Parents, Grady and Sara Allene Cochran; two grandchildren, Austin Cochran and Justin Broyles; and two special friends, Robin Burkhalter and Betsy Perry.

Funeral Services for Mr. Cochran will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Shores and Mr. Roy Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Delbert Young and Rev. George Palmer officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bennett, Tommy Lawrence, Lynn Hall, Sam Hall, Lane Farmer and Leroy LuAllen. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Trion High School Class of 1977 and the 1974 Trion High School Champion Football Team.

Mr. Cochran will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
