Mr. James “Harold” Duke, age 82 of Summerville, GA passed away Friday- March 30, 2018 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.  He was born in 1935 in Hamilton, Alabama and was retired from Redmond Regional Medical Center.  He was a member of Subligna Baptist Church.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday- April 2, 2018 at  Subligna Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Bishop and Rev. Ken Jennings officiating. Interment will follow at Subligna Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Nathan Duke, Chris Burkhalter, Kyle Duke, Kevin Espy, B.J. Gamble, and Rickey Campbell. Mr. Duke will be in state at the Subligna Baptist Church and the family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 AM until the service hour. Arrangements are by Mason Funeral Home. Mr. Duke was born June 21, 1935 in Hamilton, AL to the late George and Lois Markham Duke.  He was retired from Redmond Regional Medical Center, and was a member of the Subligna Baptist Church where he served as deacon. He was preceded in death by brothers, Larry Duke, Billy Wayne Duke.

Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Sarah Elsberry Duke, sons; Mike Duke , Jimmy & Lisa Duke, grandsons; Nathan Duke, Chris & Kandas Burkhalter, granddaughters; Audria Duke & Autum Duke, great-grandsons;  Cage Burkhalter & Corbin Burkhalter, brothers; Roger Duke, Gary & Becky Duke, Barry & Jimmie Duke, Tony & Karen Duke, sister; Linda & Tommy Tucker, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday- April 2, 2018 at  Subligna Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Bishop and Rev. Ken Jennings officiating.
