Mr. James “Mutt” Hunter, age 77, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Sunday March 10, 2013, at his residence.   Mr. Hunter was born Jan. 2, 1936, in Summerville, GA, the son of the late Charlie and Bertha Hunter.  He was retired from Mount Vernon Mills having worked in the Weave department, was a member of the Safety Committee, where he received the R.B. Pamplin Safety Award, and was a member of the Quarter Century Club.  Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Hawkins Hunter.
Survivors include Son and Daughter-in-law, James Wesley and Tracy Hunter, Daughters and Sons-in-law, Beverly and Joel Johnson, Tammie and Curtis Haddock, Brother, Billy Hunter, 14 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren also survive Mr. James “Mutt” Hunter.
Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 12, 2013, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin Alan Fuller Officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday March 12, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour, at the Mason Funeral Home.
