James Virgil “Mink” Morrow, age 84, of Summerville, GA, passed away Saturday February 7, 2015, in Quinton Health Care Center.

Mr. Morrow was born May 14, 1930, in Early, GA, the of  son the late of Virgie Morrow.

He was retired from Georgia Forestry Service, attended Walker Technical College, served in U.S. Army retiring as a Sergeant First Class, having served in Korea, and Vietnam, where he received a purple heart, bronze star, and many other metals. Mr. Morrow was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Morrow, sister Mazie Pearson and 3 nephews.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jerry Underwood, grandchildren, Sandra Hewitt, James and Karen Dennison, great-grandchildren, Brandon Webb, Jenna Blevins, Zach Dennison, great-great-grandchildren, Ayden Harris, Blaine Harris, step-grandchildren, Janlyn Underwood, Jerry Underwood, Jason Underwood, Kelly Rimer, step-great-grandchildren, Elliott, Laney, Megan, & Madison Underwood, Jonathan, Anna, Carson, & Eric Rimer, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday February 11, 2015 from the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Howell officiating with interment in the Summerville Cemetery with full military honors.

 Active pallbearers, Scott Webb, Eddie Shireman, Douglas Shireman, Mike Shireman, Fred Hall, Fred Travillion.

Mr. Morrow will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday February 10, 2015.
