Mr. Jerry Fay Mitchell, age 71, of Summerville, GA, died Thursday, December 15, 2016, at Kindred Hospital.
Mr. Mitchell was born May 17, 1945, in Summerville, GA, son of the late Ebb and Lorena Crouch Mitchell.  Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Summerville Appliance.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Sharon Dale Barnes Mitchell; sons, Terry David Mitchell and Alan Mitchell Lewis; daughter, Jerri Reynee Beare Reich; 8 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Mitchell will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 20, 2016, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Mason officiating.  Interment will follow in the Summerville Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Terry Lewis, Kenneth Dobson, Chad Spraggins, Steve Ivey, Mike Chapman, Roger Dobson, and Denny Ivey.  Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Reich, Justin Mitchell, Charlton Green, and Jim Horton.
Mr. Mitchell will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday, December 19, 2016.
