Mr. John Christopher “Chris” Wyatt, age 46, of Summerville, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Wyatt was born in Montgomery, Alabama on January 16, 1966, son of John William Wyatt and Linda Carl Penton Wyatt, and for the last ten years had been residing with his caregiver, Mrs. Betty St. Clair of Creek’s End Personal Care Home.

Mr. Wyatt is survived by his parents, John and Linda Wyatt; sisters, Merri Shannon Waters and Amy Leah Williams; caregivers, Betty St. Clair and Greg Swinford; and a number of friends with whom he lived.

Funeral Services for Mr. Wyatt will be held Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. (EDT) in the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Mahan and Rev. Ricky Studdard officiating. Interment will follow on Monday at 2:00 P.M. (EDT) in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton, Alabama.

Pallbearers will be Greg Swinford, Randall Wyatt, Joe Wyatt, Andrew Barnes, Danny Wyatt and Billy Jones.

Mr. Wyatt will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home on Sunday, and the family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the funeral hour. On Monday, Mr. Wyatt will be in state at the Ellison-Mims Funeral Home, 1709 Lay Dam Road in Clanton, Alabama, from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. (CDT)
