Mr. Kenneth Franklin Dawson, age 55, of Centre, AL, died Sunday, February 26, 2017, at his residence.

Mr. Dawson was born July 25, 1961, in Summerville, GA, son of Ann McGraw Freer and the late Charles Franklin Dawson.  He was a member of the Berryton Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Dekalb Refrigeration.   Mr. Dawson also served as a firefighter with the Broomtown Volunteer Fire Department.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenny Dawson.

Mr. Dawson is survived by his wife, Elaine Dawson; daughter, Tabitha Dawson; step-daughter, Sherry Bowen; sister, Christy Carlson; and 11 grandchildren.

Graveside and interment services for Mr. Dawson will be held at 2:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Thursday, March 2, 2017, from the Union Hill “Needmore” Cemetery with Rev. John McGraw officiating.  Pallbearers will be Michael Dawson, Wesley Dawson, Ricky Burrage, John Burrage, Adam McGraw, and Travis Barnes.

Mr. Dawson will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
