Mr. Paul Vernon Rosser, age 85, of Trion, GA, died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the home of his daughter.

Mr. Rosser was born June 3, 1927 in Summerville, GA, the son of the late George Lee Rosser and Bessie White Rosser. He was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills.  He was a member of Trion First Baptist Church and the Men’s Sunday School Class of Trion First Baptist Church.  Mr. Rosser was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during WWII on the USS Interpid.  Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie Mae Bryan Rosser; and a grandchild, Jeremy Rosser.

Survivors include daughters and husbands, Annette and Mike Salmon, Paulette and Jerry Chitwood; son and wife, Dale and Deborah Rosser; sisters, Josephine Baggett and Hilda Reynolds; 11 Grandchildren; 27 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Great Great Grandchildren; and special friend, Nola Floyd.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Warren Moorhead and Rev. Jerry Chitwood officiating.  Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery, with full military honors conducted by Shanklin-

Attaway Post 5 of the American Legion.  Committal will be conducted by Dr. Floyd Roebuck.  Active pallbearers will be Grandsons.  Honorary pallbearers will be his Grandchildren.

 Mr. Rosser will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. Friday, March 22, 2013.
