Mr. Roy James Collins, age 63, of Summerville, GA, passed away Friday August 13, 2010, in Redmond Regional Medical Center. Mr. Collins was born May 6, 1947, in Trion, GA, the son of the late Marvin T. and Nellie Mitchell Collins. Mr. Collins was employed with Church Chair, and preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Sue Collins. Survivors include his wife to whom he was married 41 years, Elizabeth Brown Collins, Children, Bradley Collins, Michael Collins, Stacy Cothran, Tammy Thrasher, Star Bragg, Sister, Elaine Collins, Brothers, Ray Collins, Lamar Collins, 13 Grandchildren, 7 Great-grand children.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday August 16, 2010 from the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Sanford Deberry officiating with interment in the Summerville Cemetery. Active pallbearers, Greg Hegwood, Bradley Clayton, Ronnie Reed, Jeff Brown, Eddie Phillips, Steven Hodskins, Honorary pallbearers, Billy Joe Durham, J.J. Burk, Donnie Wooten. Mr. Collins will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Sunday August 15, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m.
