Mr. Thomas Jefferson Middleton, age 63, of Summerville, GA, died Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at his residence.

Mr. Middleton was born October 23, 1952, in Summerville, GA, son of Ruby Pauline Williamson Middleton and the late Homer Conner Middleton.  He was a member of the North Summerville Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Bigelow – Sanford Carpet Mill.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Homer Lamar Middleton and Stephen Luther Middleton.

Mr. Middleton is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ann Wilson Middleton; sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Jennifer Middleton, Kevin Middleton; daughters and son-in-law, Kari and Jimmy Lowe, Amy Pursley; mother, Ruby Pauline Middleton; brother and sisters-in-law, Michael and Faye Middleton, Teresa Middleton, and Sheryl Middleton; grandchildren, Brandon Owenby, Thomas Middleton III, Drew Middleton, Ryan Wheeler, Destiny Lowe, Austin Middleton, Brooklyn Lowe, Ansley Lowe, Nate Middleton, and Philip Middleton.

Funeral services for Mr. Middleton will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 27, 2016, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Russell and Dr. Charles Bishop officiating.  Interment will follow in the Summerville Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Thomas Middleton II, Thomas Middleton III, Tony Middleton, Kevin Middleton, Drew Middleton, and Conner Middleton.  Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Middleton, Jimmy Lowe II, Nate Middleton, Philip Middleton, Ansley Lowe, nieces, nephews, and church friends.

Mr. Middleton will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 26, 2016.
