Mr. Walter  Deweese “W.D., Uncle Dub” Finley age 83 of 1956 Starling Mill Rd. Lylery, GA, passed away on Thursday June 6, 2013 at a local hospital following an extended illness.  Mr. Finley was born in Chattooga County, Georgia, on August 26, 1929, son of the late Marcus Finley and the late Eliza Ann Perry Finley.

Survivors include his granddaughter, Alicia Young and grandson, Deweese Finley, Holland, GA; brother, Reuben C. (Jacqueline) Finley, Rome, GA; sister, Precious J. Muse, Summerville, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 12, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Finley Chapel United Methodist Church, with Pastor Robert Barrett, officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until the service time.  Interment will follow in Finley Chapel Gardens, Holland, GA.
