MR. WILLIAM D. ELROD, age 55, of Fayetteville, Georgia formerly of Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday afternoon in a Rome hospital following a sudden illness. A native of Chattooga County, Georgia He was born on July 29, 1955, and was the only child of the late Ralph W. and Ada Margaret Duff Elrod. Mr. Elrod was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Georgia and a real estate agent for the ERA Sunrise Group.

Surviving are wife-Martha McCrorey Elrod; daughter-Kimber Elrod of Jasper, GA.; son-Brandon Elrod of Rome; step daughter-Stacie Edwards of Madison, Ga.; step sons-Todd Edwards of Athens, Ga. and Ryan Edwards of Fayetteville; grandsons-Sawyer Edwards and Hudson Edwards.

Memorial service will be held Sunday, March 20th, at 4:00 P.M. from the New Hope Baptist Church, Fayetteville, Georgia. Honorary Pallbearers-William Crouch, Randy Cook, David Wynn, Robert Drake, Wayne Holton, Jack Goodwin, the Love & Action Sunday School Class of New Hope Baptist Church, the ERA Sunrise Group, and the Hollis Camp.
