Mr. William George "Bill" Clay, age 76, of Summerville, GA passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011
at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Clay was born May 16, 1935 in Clarkson, GA, the son of the late William Jackson and Tynie
Frances Dial Clay. He was retired from the Georgia Public Service Commission and he had worked
at Southern Motor Carriers Rate Conference. Mr. Clay was a member of Subligna Baptist Church
and a veteran of the United States Army. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a
brother, Kenneth Allmon Clay.
Survivors incude his wife, Shirley Clay; and a brother, Michael David Clay, SR.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p. m. Friday, August 26, 2001 at Mason Funeral Home
Chapel with Dr. Charles Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Subligna Cemetery.
Active pallbearers, Michael Clay, JR, Allen Clay, Tony Clay, Zachary Clay, Richard Riley,
Jerel Teems.
Mr. Clay will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:00
until 3:00 p. m. Friday.
