Mr. William Robert “Bill” Venn, age 69 of Trion, Georgia passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Venn was born in Hart, Michigan on March 21, 1942, son of the late Frank and Florence Venn. He was an honor graduate of Boysville High School in Tecumseh, Michigan, and a veteran, having served in the United States Navy, and prior to retirement was employed as an electrician. Mr. Venn was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Holt Venn on July 15, 2011; brother, Frank Venn; and his childhood Guardian and brother-in-law, Ralph Sanford.
Mr. Venn is survived by a son, Thomas Venn of Trion; sisters, Nancy Sanford of South Bend, Indiana and Susan Shinberg of New York City; two grandchildren, Aaron Venn and Andrew Venn; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Venn will be held Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Craig Holt, Jared Holt, Doug Holt, Bobby Hannah, Rick DeBerry and Phil McGuire.
Mr. Venn will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until the funeral hour. Mason Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
